ECL Challenge

Per FRCS Errata: Shade/Human Sorceror, of at least a net ECL of 10 (I -never- make an ECL character up, if their actual class levels account for less than half of their net ECL).

IOW, "Sorceror(5+), Shade-Human" ... all that is good about being Human, plus the cheesy goodness of the Shade template (including +2 Charisma while in darkness/shadow ... heh!).

W/O the errata, and only a +2ECL ... it's BROKENLY good, and I'd only need to go for ECL 4 net (Sorceror (2+)).

corresponding human of the same total level.

Meaning, if you pick an ECL 10 creature, that's a level 10 wizard minimum, plus spell levels on both sides.


But if everyone just want's to whine about ECLs, and then when a serious challenge comes up, make jokes about it... meh...

Gotta go with a Spellweaver. They already cast as a Sorcerer 2 levels higher than their CR. Add to that better HP and the ability to cast multiple spells per round, and it gets nasty. 30 magic missiles in one round... (that's 6 castings of magic missile at 9th+ level, of course).

Remember... CR isn't ECL... unless you meant ECL... I don't have the list of them here at work...

OK, you want a broken combination?

Level 1 Wizard Efreet vs... well, whatever level a human wizard is.
Efreet has a bat familiar.

Round 1:
Bat takes a standard action, asks Efreet "I wish that wizard had been born without arms."
The bat is not a genie, so the efreet can grant the wish.

Human wizard can no longer hold components, wands, scrolls, weapons, etc...

Pretty easy after that.
