I placed my order on 7/22/02, and mailed a check that evening. (Obviously, I have absolutely no concern for how long this process will take ...) The check was paid by my bank on 7/29/02, and the order is in Processing/On Order status (as it has been since it was placed).
As my order was placed in the waning days of the $13.xx sale price, and by check to boot, if anyone hasn't gotten theirs by the time I get mine (if and when I do), you have a really good case to complain about.
OTOH, buy.com has my money. If I don't get my merchandise, I'll have a really good case to complain about. They can't just reverse a credit card charge here ... if they weren't going to complete the deal, they probably shouldn't have cashed the check.

I'm pretty confident that I'll get mine in a few days, since I already have the copy of Silver Marches that I ordered at the same time (though according to Buy.com it shipped the day after I ordered it, and according to the shipper, it shipped two days after I ordered it), but I wish the tracking info from the USPS was more useful.
UPS or FedEx will give a reasonable update every day, so I generally figure that I'll actually have an item no later than a day after it gets to California, and can guestimate. With Silver Marches, the postal services' tracking system said that 'we have been notified for pickup' until the day I got it (and then it switched to arrived in San Diego).

Mine's supposed to have shipped now too. Apparently it arrived at the distribution center on my metro area on Saturday! Hopefully I'll see it when I go home tonight.

At Long Last
Mine arrived today at the ultra-cheap price. I'm a very happy camper. What's more, I'd ordered it 2nd day air, which meant that it was supposed to arrive on Friday. Since it arrived today, I called the company and I'm expecting to get my shipping refunded.

I got mine today. Ordered on 22nd, received "sent" email on the 1st.
Okay, ordered 2 on Monday July 22. I live in Texas. Was at Warehouse forever. On 3rd got the shipped Email. ON evening of the 3rd it was in Michigan. Tonight at 7:52 it was in Dallas. Which means I should see it within the next two days, but definitely by this weekend. All for $27.62. He he heeee. One for me and one for a b-day present.
