ELH Multiclass Feat Question

gfunk

First Post
If a Fighter 10/Weapon Master 10 gains an additional experience level in Fighter, can he choose epic feats from the Fighter bonus list? Or does he have to be 21st level in Fighter?

I understand that he could take epic feats at the normal character levels (21, 24, 27, 30, etc.).

If he got the extra feat from his fighter, no. If he got the extra feat for his character level, yes.

You don't get the fighter's epic bonus feat list until your fighter class itself becomes epic.

The one he gets at level 21 can be any epic feat (it is one he gets from every 3 levels).

But the one he gets at level 22 (bonus feat for a 12th level fighter) would be a regular (non-epic) fighter feat.

What they said is correct. The feat lists classes have does not change no matter what character level you are. In ELH that is why they have a new list of bonus feats.

Page 8 of the ELH seems to indicate the opposite in the section on adding a second class... specifically, adding a new class at first level...

"When you have to choose from a list of bonus feats in your second class, you can also choose from the bonus epic feats described for each specific class below."

Also on page 8...bah...to frickin' long to post...read the second bullet on the left. I'll summarize...

You must select these feats from the list of bonus feats for that class, much like the nonepic fighter selects his bonus feats from the specific list on the Player's Handbook.

Right, I see, thats kewl....

So we are just gonna ignore what it says in section that actually discusses multiclassing once you have achieved epic levels, because of what it says in another section about acquiring bonus epic feats when progressing beyond 20th in a single class?:p

LOL :p I'm just demonstrating that you can only select an epic feat from your bonus list if your bonus list is for an epic class. If it isn't from an epic class, then you select from the standard feats, because that class isn't epic yet. Your character is epic, but not your class.

Right... but... uh... thats not what it says.... not really.... it really does say the opposite in the section on multiclassing...

Right...but that passage refers you to Table 1-2...and Table 1-2 deals with feats gained because of character level...weird.

It even then states that "When you have to choose from a list of bonus feats in your second class, you can also choose from the bonus epic feats described for each specific class below."

...uhmmm...I'm really confused now...
