The dead ones.

Edit: Of course 12 people beat me to the joke. Curse you, Aquascum!

Yeah but I was the one that suggest barbequed! ;)

Forsaken elves are still my all time favorite living elf. :p

*prefers his Dark Elves LE not CE spider worshippers* :p

Melnibonéan is the kind of elf i like.

me too!

wait ... I like cerilian elves (Birthright is just a cool setting)

Elfquest is very cool ...

My favorite PC is an Elf fighter from 1e, he's just a High Elf (dark, green eyes variety) who's a good woodsman and excellent archer.

*wolf starts singing badly* I'm just an elf, that's all that they'll let me beeee ...

The answer would depend of the game setting and the tone of the campaign. I like most sort of elves, except for the Lawful stupidevil melnibonean/2e faerunian kind (aka Gold elves depicted in so many rulebooks).

Voted other. From D&D as written, Eberron elves of all flavors. Otherwise, I would like the racial stats for d20 elves to more closely reflect the fluff concerning them. PHB elves show no stats that reflect any extra proficiency to magic.
