EN World Appreciation Thread

Hi everyone. I'm in a good mood.

It's Friday. Things are going well at work. The weekend is scheduled to be pretty laid back. My wife wants to play D&D tonight. Things are good.

Anyhow, I found myself responding to this thread yesterday:

So help me be a better GM...

Included in my post were these words:

"First of all, Tolen Mar, I admire your attitude. This place is a fantastic resource for GMing ideas and my skills as a GM have improved more in the last 2 years of being on the ENWorld boards than any time in the last 20 years that I've been doing it."

I've reflected on that statement a bit over the last day and it really is true. Not only is EN World a place of great entertainment and online friendship for me, but it is without question the single best resource for improving my skills as a GM and Player that I've ever found in all my years of roleplaying.

So this thread is to say thank you to Eric Noah for starting the site and boards.

It is to say thank you to Morrus for taking the baton and running with it.

It is to say thank you to Piratecat, Henry, Darkness, Dinkeldog, nemmerle and all the other moderators here.

It is to say thank you to all the great Story Hour writers.

It is to say thank you to the folks who read my own Story Hour.

And it is especially to say thank you to all of the other posters who provide interesting, insightful, helpful, funny and even sometimes controversial conversation about all facets of a hobby that I love.

Thank you all and I look forward to many more years of enlightenment from everyone here at EN World.

I hope you all have a fantastic day and weekend and I hope that it includes a little D&D.

Well, I'd like to give my thanks to EnWorld.

Morrus, not only have I found you to be a really nice person, but I do love your site. I think your news is top notch. I think EnWorld is the number 1 resource for d20 info. I've grown to appreciate EnWorld quite a bit. Next month, I'll probably be getting a couple community supporter accounts. THAT's how much I've come to like this place.

To Piratecat and the others: Piratecat, I think you are a great moderator from what I've seen. I admire you in that regard. The rest of the mods do a pretty damn good job too!

Hats off the the ENWorld Crew!!!!

Well, haven't been having a fantastic day. Pretty screwed up in fact, and not going to get better in the near future, but hey, the rain has got to fall sometime somewhere, no?

But yea. Been around for a bit, mostly as lurker, occasionally as poster. But life would be a little different, duller, drearier, without ENWorld
