Exalted 2nd Edition Game

Things are still shaky for me. Ideally I'll find out about my apartment today or tomorrow...and even more ideally I can start moving in the same day. Then I'll have all my books and so on and can finish right up.

With the pleasure slave thing, he was bred by some organization that uses slaves of all sorts (Not sure if the Guild would breed, that's why I left it open... so you could work it into the plot and have him figure it out or something, or maybe he has a permanent mark that tells he's one of their slaves and they find him, wondering how he's free etc...). Basically, he escaped somehow as a young child (probably an Exalt who wants to end slavery or some such nonsense) and wandered until found by the village.

This explains why he knew how to sing so well at such a young age (trained to be a performer as well) and why his appearance is so high etc... You can scrap that part if you want, I just thought it left some interesting plot hooks to be explored in the future.

(Edit: Also, languages... Riverspeak probably would be the common language of his village, and I'd say he was starting to learn High Realm as a child and someone in the village finished his education... as for the last one, not sure, anybody have any good suggestions?)

Okay. I have it figured out. Skies is originally from the Hundred Kingdoms, but in his gallivanting days had drifted further North. Part of the reason why he turned to crime was his unusual appearance which made him a social outcaste, even in a place as diverse as the hundred kingdoms. His hair was white, not as those who have seen many years, but white like laundered linen. Of course, these days, his head is shaven, but he still keeps a short beard and has eyebrows. The white hair also makes the texture of his skin look odd, as though there were a faint miasma about him. Add his single eye, and there you have an unusual appearance.

Skies speaks his native Riverspeak and Skytongue.

I have detailed languages. In post #42 to be exact. As for the Wyld thing... it was a LONG time, probably decades, but it's up to you, he THINKS he remembers his birth date, but he can't be sure. And, well, he loves his country, but he's basically forgotten how to live in it, and if he tried he'd be treated as an outsider, anyway. As such, he wants to do as mucha s he can to help his land, without ever settling down there again, which is rather tragic, but it's suppsoed to be.

Twilight: I think you’re good to go. Take a look at the Occult rules on Thaumaturgy, and if you have the new magic source book (Ordex Codex or something like that), the section on the Arts is really neat. There are some very cool abilities that you can do without essence costs. I’m a little concerned that with your spell selection and artifacts that you will not have much chance to be an occultist. By this I mean when you are not involved with demons or spells, all you’ve got is your stuff and skills. So brush up on everything that you can do with the ability without charms. You’ve mastered the Occults. You’re one of the smartest people in Creation. You’ve got to be more than just a dude with an axe. Also your motivation is fine, but have you put any thought on why he hates the undead. There is nothing in your history that really says anything about them. Yes the creature you fought during your exaltation seemed connected to the dead somehow, but is there something more in addition?

It is not specifically targeted at undead, but to the whole things that threaten the creation: Demons, FairFolks, Deathlord, Undead. This come from his Wyld Hunt training. All these and even more, the anathema are a threat to the Creation. But his Exaltation have put all this into perspective. That's why his conviction is at 1. He must have been higher before he had exalted.

For the Occultist, I'll focus on that on the devellopment. There is a lot of possibility, open, maybe I'll learn some degree of thaumaturgy, or go for spells. Occult mastery could be great too.

Velmont,

That makes more sense, I could have sworn you said that your motivation was just the Undead. I don’t where I got that from. Oh well.

At any rate, I’m have just opened up the IC thread. Some of you aren’t ready yet, that’s fine. You are all going to start by yourselves, we’ll figure out how you meet up as a big group later. Also it will make it easier for others to start playing if they have an idea of where everyone else is.

Just in case you are wondering, I’m thinking none of this is necessarily happening at the same time. Character 1 might go through months of travel before meeting Character 2, who has only had two days of story pass by. Don’t worry about any of those details.

Not sure if we are allowed to post [OOC: blah blah] type comments in the IC page, so I'll keep this comment here.

Basically what Leon is doing is making sure that at least two, if not three of the bandits will have to waste a lot of ticks to move around their friends to get to a position to fight him. Basically, he's trying to keep it as close to one-on-one as possible.

This is definitely gonna hurt. Mortal combat = ouchies on a stick. Unless, of course, Leon can get away with singing for them :P!

Well okay that was interesting. I don't have a problem with this or anything, but I didn't really plan for you to walk over 2000 miles in one post. But I really hate reposting. Just in the future please don't jump the story quite so much.

We really can take our time on this. Story is more important than getting the group in one room.
