Falling Skies, Season 2 - anybody watching?

First Post
I was kind of disappointed in Season 1 - a few good episodes, but nothing really outstanding. I think it got pretty good ratings.

However, I think Season 2 has been a bit better overall than Season 1.

Anybody else want to weigh in?

Watching, but time shifted by weeks. I've seen the first episode of the season so far, and thus have little to judge upon.

I am enjoying BUT the ending scene on last weeks show kind of irked me. They go the hospital, set up camp, get the generator working, turn on the lights...there it is dark of night and NOT a window blacked out, showing their location off!

Maybe they were surprised to get it running again and weren't prepared? Hopefully, they'll show them darkening the windows up at the start of the next episode?

One thing I was curious about (and have not checked out myself) is this "after show" they have for Falling Skies. I think it's called Third Watch or something. Essentially, it seems to be a clone of the "Talking Dead" aftershow for "The Walking Dead".

On a side note, it seems a lot of these basic cable shows are getting into this "aftershow" idea. Heck, the Dallas reboot even has one now.

yep, I think it is the next generation from the "save our show letter writing" we had a few years back. Some one got smart and said, lets feed the hunger because these are the people that help us with a keep our job.

True in many cases, but at least in the case of "The Walking Dead", it was not done out of some sense of desperation - their aftershow started at the height of the show's popularity, possibly prior to its zenith.

And actually, I'm fairly sure that Falling Skies is doing pretty well, audience wise. I don't know how well the audience size squares with the episode cost (see what happened with Terra Nova). it could average 3M viewers a week and still get cancelled.
