Favorite and Least Favorite 4th Edition Elements

Favorite: The promise of faster game play (including easier DM prep)

Least: Too many changes for change sake: demon/devil revisions, points of light, class set, race set, and on and on. Not any one of these bothers me too much, but the cumulative effect is my least favorite aspect.

The Good
rethinking and talking about what works and what doesn't. Good for any edition you play (1-4)

The Bad
DnD = Demons & Dungeons

and restarting my book collection.

Favorite: Powers. I loved BO9S. If they can intergrate those mechanics cleanly into a new system I will be a happy man.

Least: Ability score readjustment (IF this turns out to be true). I'm so used to 18 = +4, I really don't want to have to switch stuff in my head, especially if I play in 4e and 3e games.

Most Fav: All those wonderfull promises

Least Fav: Lack of details on how those wonderfull things are going to happen

Agreed. But personally i can't really vote for sure because it's too early in the process. While i LOVE the way the magic system sounds now, i might hate it when i see it in play.

Favorite: Powers for everyone! Now you don't have to be a spellcaster to do several cool things.

Least: Emphasis on monsters as opposed to classed NPC foes. I'll wait until I actually see how 4e handles the latter before actually making a complaint out of this, though.

Favorite: Powers for everyone! Now you don't have to be a christmas tree at higher levels to be effective.

Least Favorite: A tie between The possible removal of confirm rolls for Crits and my doubts about the 'flipping' of saving throws.
