Favorite Video Game Weapon!!!

wheather it be a gun, sword, or magic, what stands out the most and makes you wish you could wield it? and also tell why its your favorite.

my favorite wepon is the BFG gun from Doom3. this gun is so badass that not only does it kills everything in its way but it can kill you if you hold the trigger too long.

I always had fun with the cattleprod in Fallout 1 and 2 with the gore factor set to maximum.

In Rune you could sever an enemy's limb and use it to club others to death. That's a blast!

I'm not that big a fan of the game of the series but in Halo 2 the shottie is awesome. We'd put everybody invisible and have a blast on the small levels like Foundation.

Heh. In NeverWinterNights, you can use the Aurora Toolset to create your own weapons....
I've managed to get to 109 AC and totally trick out some rather nice weapons.
Can we say +20 Attack, +20 enchancement bonus, +20 fire, acid, cold, magical, divine and positive energy besides?

Not done fooling with it though...

Gods... I'm such a nerd.

I'd probably have to say the gravity gun from Half-Life 2. It's just so much fun to play with. It would be in real life, too.

Or the dice in Alice that summon demons. Those are a blast.

Bionic arm from Bionic Commando / Top Secret: Hitler's Revival is a fav of mine. I have the urge to make a drow spider buckler/grappnel that operates like the arm does.

Soul Edge adds a nice twist on the evil soul sucking sword by changing into it's wielder's prefered weapon, whether Sword, axe or exotic weapons. It can even seperate itself for a dual weilder or even form a shield for 'sword and board'. The last weapon a BBEG will ever need.

1) The rifle from Unreal Tournament 1 (I think number 4 or 5 on the keyboard) that shoots those blue/purply rays. The alt.fire is really where it's at; you shoots big balls of blue/purply goodness that, when shot with the normal fire of the gun, explode and create a massive energy ball. Awesome for making enemies bug out and for doin' tons of damage

2) The Flak Cannon is also a favourite from that game - Shotgun action or a grenade - it's great! But it's a little overpowered, so it's kinda annoying.

3) The cheat for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas that gives you a one hit kill super-punch/lanucher. So, soo funny to see people flying 50 to 100 feet after you lay into them. Even better after a couple of beers

I don't play very many FPS, but when I did, I liked the plasma rifle from doom. Something about shooting little balls of lightning seems cool. Second place would be the plasma cannons from Ghostbusters, like a garden hose using plasma instead of water, but they seemed a little hard to predictably control. Also like the vulcan rotary gun from Predator...you know, the movie with the governors in it. (i know two of mine were movies, but they had games made about them)
