Fiery Bolt Crit

Easy question ... on a crit with Fiery Bolt, the 3rd level Warlock Encounter Spell, is the 1d6+Con vs creatures adjacent to the target maximized?

Nope. Crits don't maximize damage for other attack rolls.

Ah, but therein lies the rub. Check the power:

Fiery Bolt Warlock Attack 3

You call up a bolt of golden flame and hurl it at your foe. Anyone standing close to him is burned as well.

Encounter Arcane, Fire, Implement
Standard Action Ranged 10
Target: One creature
Attack: Constitution vs. Reflex
Hit: 3d6 + Constitution modifier fire damage, and creatures adjacent to the target take 1d6 + Constitution modifier fire damage.
Infernal Pact: Creatures adjacent to the target take extra fire damage equal to your Intelligence modifier.

There is only one attack roll to hit. So would the crit max the damage for the adjacent creatures, or is there damage un-Crittable? (is that a word?)

All damage that is rolled that is part of the hit is maximized. The only damage rolls that are not maximized are damage rolls that are added because of the crit.

Thanks for the text, I don't have access at work.
If the above is correct, then the 'splash' damage will be maximized. It is all based on the same hit roll.

Quite welcome. Still getting used to hitting the Compendium instead of the SRD.

Thanks for the answers guys, it makes the Spell a little more enticing for my Pact Initiate Wizard. :)
