Template "Jenova Touched" and Paragon Path "SOLIDER," duh ;)

Bah, Wizardmon, you have all the answers. :)

To bring it back to topic, however...

Two notes on the Cetra
1) What is the basis for their resistance to poisons?
2) For those saying Whispers of the Lifestream is of little use in combat, I have no real rebuttal until I see more detailed combat rules. However, I'd like to raise the question -- can Encounter abilities be used in Skill Challenges? If so, this racial may be amazing in its own right, even neglecting combat entirely.

On the Ronsoo:
Perhaps you could limit the type of abilities that can be returned in much the same way the new Dispel Magic now only affects zones and conjurations. I'm not real certain how you'd work that, but perhaps it's something to ponder.

Also -- am I the only one who thinks a PC racial write-up for Red XIII/Nanaki would be rather neat? It'd require some substantial redesign/handwaving of the base classes (or the creation of a new one -- Savagery power source, perhaps?), but I could see it being a lot of fun. The lack of digits might be somewhat difficult to deal with, but not insurmountable.

... then again, I'm also the guy who played a Qom Qae ( http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Qom_Qae ) in a SWSE campaign once, so my idea of interesting may be out of whack with the norm.

Thanks for the feedback Boarstorm.

The resistance to poison is sort of reverse-derived from the nature and healing affiliation of the Cetra. I guess my method of thinking was that since the Cetra are one with nature, nature will protect them from its own weapons (which would be poisons.)

Is suspect that encounter powers can be used during a skill challenge. If not, I will make a special note in the power that it can be used in that sort of situation. Or something along those lines, so that it can be a little more generally useful.

As for the Ronso: I agree that a limiting notation for the Ronso would be good, to limit it to a non-game breaking attack power, but at this time, I do not know what that notation would be. If there proves to be one, I will edit the Ronso power so that it follows it.

As for Red XIII/Nanaki... Well, it would be a lot easier to make his race if I knew it's name! I have a few ideas of how his race might work... but I would first want a name! :p

Here. I have no clue what to name Red XIII/Nanaki's race after but the canyon they lived in... but I'm giving the race another shot. Also, I have no clue if this is balanced or not but I'm giving it a try anyway.

Cosmo
+2 Dex, +2 Wis

Low Light Vision
Speed: 8
Skill Bonus: +2 Perception, +4 Athletics

Natural Weapons: You are considered to be constantly armed with melee weapons that deal 1d6 damage. These may be given enhancement bonuses and additional weapon effects through "head-dresses."
Head-dress Implementor: You may use a head-dress in place of an implement, when a particular manner of implement is not specified. A head-dress adorned with a holy-symbol and blessed by the temple of that religion may be used in place of a holy-symbol.
Four Legged: You may not wield weapons or wear armor designed for humanoids. Armor you wear and weapons you wield must be custom made.

Nimble Reaction: +2 AC vs. Opportunity Attacks

Sled Fang (Cosmo Racial Power)
You channel the otherworldly essence that is the heritage of your race. With a burst of speed and wrath, you literally cut through the foes that stand before you.
Encounter * Weapon
Standard Action
Effect
: Shift (fly) [1/2 speed] squares in a straight line
Target: All creatures in line
Attack: Dexterity vs. Ref
Hit: [W]+ Wisdom modifier damage.

[Notes: One WotC employee said that a feat can be taken to use another weapon for Rogue powers.]

Standard Action [1/2 Speed] Line
Target

Special: Slide to the last square in the line. If that square is occupied, slide to the square nearest to that.

Heh, I'd been pondering how I'd do it as well. My take is a touch different. Though, I called them Canyoners. :p I had a bonus to Con instead of Dex, but I admit Dex probably makes more sense.

Heh, and I had thought about giving them a bonus to stealth checks, but decided that the whole flaming tail thing probably took away any advantage they may have had from padding silently toward prey. :)

In particular, I like the headdress ability, and Sled Fang... I really like the power, I just wonder how well it's balanced. The only thing we've seen so far similar to it is the Gargoyle's Stonecharge, so there's precedent, but it's monster precedent instead of PC precedent.

Speaking of that burning tail (sounds like a VD, now that I think of it), what do you think -- sheds light like a torch? :p

I never played that game, but I have to say that you have enabled a quadrapedal, no armed PC with superb elegance. *steals idea*

That aside, you are doing a service to us all.

Shameless plug: If you like the whole conclusion-jumping design stuff that's going on here, then you should check out the Original Creations Compilations thread. And by the Ryuken, I'm sure the OP there would be glad to include your stuff in the races compilation.

Why, thank you! I must say I will likely give that thread a good look after that most wonderful complement!

(BTW, after looking at the Gargoyle, I edited the syntax of the Cosmos' power Sled Fang to make it a bit more elegant.)

One quick thing with Sled Fang: It should say shift instead of slide. Slide is forced movement against an other creature. ;)

Yes, by the time I had posted that message, I had edited the text to say that. Thanks for the advice, but ignore my words in the quote boxes of others! *Jedi hand-wave*
