Final verdict on keen rapier w/ improved critical?

Never did check back to find out what the final conclusion was concerning the threat range of a keen rapier with improved critical. Anyone?

Actually the weapon master ability only increases the crit range by 2.

And now if you play Dragonstar and import the Weapon Master prestige Class its:
Rapier = 18-20
add Keen = 15-20
add Improved Crit = 12-20
add Keenblade (stacks with keen) = 9-20
add 7th level Weapon Master = 7-20

It's sick ... :D

That is sick. Do you think it diminishes the concept of a critical hit if you end up doing a critical 50% (or more) of the time?:confused:
 

Does imp. crit. lower the crit. range with 3 ??

I thought it dubbled the original crit. range thus lowering it with 2...

correct me if I'm wrong.

Improved Critical does double the original threat range, yes. In the case of a Rapier, the original threat range is 18-20, or three points. Thus, Improved Critical lowers it by an additional three points to 15-20.
 

And now if you play Dragonstar and import the Weapon Master prestige Class its:
Rapier = 18-20
add Keen = 15-20
add Improved Crit = 12-20
add Keenblade (stacks with keen) = 9-20
add 7th level Weapon Master = 7-20

Make it out of Duskwood so you can use Spikes (DoF), and don't forget to drop Assassin's Sense on yourself (R&R) for a grand total of:
Rapier, Crit range 3-20 for x3 damage.

Hmm, looks like we need ONE more point of increase to this thing, otherwise a roll of "2" is going to be annoying...
