Fire Domain turning and undead turning

In the spirit of 'most likely been asked a bunch of times before', I have a question about Clerics with domains like the Fire domain, which lets you effectively turn elementals. Are the turn attempts granted by those domains in addition to the regular tun attempts granted by the Cleric class, effectively doubling those attempts? So if with Divine Metamagic feats, the Cleric would have twice as many uses available (at least for the feats that don't specifically specify 'undead turn attempts')? Has WotC ever addressed that officially? I couldn't find it in the FAQs.

The turn attempts are separate- if you have 5 Turn Undeads plus 5 Turn Fire Elementals from your clerical domains, you do indeed have 10 total Turn attempts, but they are distinct and non-interchangeable. Most feats and abilities based off of using Turn attempts specify Turn "Undead". Extra Turning adds the same amount to each and every kind of Turning your PC has.
