There is a mage and halfing, and me the cleric. We will have a fighter of course, but i was just wondering what skills would be best.

If this is overdone topic, just delete it and i'll search harder

k ;D
Since i am using a Krynn cleric pre catalsym, hes allowing me to use Lay on hands and Greater Turning with the sun domain.
Any tips on how i can apply this? I'm getting these at the cost of armor pretty much.

Some ideas, get ways to prevent yourself from failing madness and horror checks. Turning undead, very good idea, another is, if you're in Sithicus, DO NOT make friends with any of the halflings/kender. They won't be much fun.

Finally, make sure if you can to have the Dawnbringer as your patron deity, although I'm sure you could, conceviable, keep your old deity since not everyone is up on the religions of "outsiders."

Langauge skills are far more important in Ravenloft. Each domain has its own language. There is no common tongue.
Also magic to detect evil doesnt work so you need to actually up sense motive skill. You cant just zap a spell to know who the bad guys are in Ravenloft. You have to actually talk to people.
Also typically ravenloft campaigns involve more roleplaying with a few fights against bigger baddies instead of a lot of fights against weak enemies. So your social skills are important. Spot too, there are tons of shapechangers in the Ravenloft denizens of darkness book.
Also turning wont be as effective. All undead in ravenloft have an automatic turn resistance of +1. So you cant allways count on it either. Scanning through the book of monsters will help with equipment a lot too. Some enemies are vulnerable only to platinum or other wierd stuff.
hope it helps, later.

Hmmm k good advice good advice. Also i make it a point to bring one kender along wherever i go. "Hey little guy,i saw something moving around that corner, take the torch and see what it is" "OK!"
lol

Knowledges, concentration, diplomacy, heal for autopsies. Ravenloft is about fighting horrors and investigations of bad things. Many are unfriendly to oustsiders, making good social skills more important for day to day interactions than most campaigns.

But it is more important to play a fun character than a tactical one, think of your concept and go with it. Is he a serious priest with knowledge religion? A combat caster with high concentration? A schmoozer with good diplomacy? A reclusive monk with craft brewing?

If he's from Pre-Cataclysm Krynn, he's probably a serious spellcasting cleric with some combat expertise probably.
