"A secret door in the floor? How interesting. I wonder where it leads to?"

OOC: Technically a concealed door...

Upon seeing the pull ring in the floor, Jillian steps up and thoroughly searches the area.

OOC: Taking 20 on search checks for 34.

Jillian carefully examines the area and finds no traps.

if the all safe is given, then Harrison will walk in to pull the ring.

OOC: You are in the Tomb of Horrors, nothing is 'all safe', but close enough.

Harrison pulls on the ring and discovers a narrow stair leading down. Jillian continues her search below and discovers a corridor leading west and then north and west before turning south again. She just catches site of a small hole in the otherwise smooth stone corridor of the passage. It appears to be a keyhole.

Upon spoting the key hole in the wall, Jillian thoroughly searches the area around the key hole for traps, then disables any traps (if needed) and finally takes her time at picking the lock.

OOC:
Taking 20 on search check for 34.
Taking 10 on disable device checks for 26 (if needed).
Taking 20 on open lock check for 40.

"Oh look, chests and a coffin. How about we look in these before we just trundle through the next door?" Ballista is pointing to the point of the room as the others seem to have completely missed them.

Ballista, I would recommend avoiding the sarcophagus. Based on our previous experience with those in this tomb, it is likely trapped and generally bad for your health. Check the chests if you wish. Please be careful as we wouldn't want to have to drag your body through the rest of the tomb." Zorn advises.

Logan Lightbringer

"Drag her through this place?" says Logan, "Nahh, just drag her over to the side, fold her hands across her chest and I'll give her the last rites. Like you said, she is already in a tomb, after all." ;)

Jillian finds no more traps here, but the lock in the little hole proves to be very challenging. It takes every ounce of skill she possesses to overcome it. Just when she begins to wonder if it can be opened a tell tale click sound announces her success.

a 10-foot-square section of the wall sinks; it is a stone-sheathed adamantine cube. Revealed by the sinking cube described above is a 10-foot wide, 20-foot deep cavity with an arched, 25-foot tall ceiling, apparently empty save for a small, square depression a few inches deep in the center of the floor.

Ballista hammers a piton into the wall above the chests through which she strings the thin line she carries. Using this system, she lifts the lids of the chests in turn from all the way across the room.
