Jillian believes the ring to be of the sort that lends a protective shield around the wearer (+1).

The wooden chest is easy enough to open for one of Jillian's talents. There is no trap that she can find from outside the chest. However, as the lid opens a magical summoning takes place. A skeletal form of giant dimensions appears wielding a brace of scimitars.

OOC: Initiative and Actions if you beat a 7 please. This big fellow is AC22 or AC8 touch. initiative (1d20-1=7)

Grackle 'oooohs' as he watches what happens outside the protective bubble. "No boom, but where deady from? How did it fit inna li'l box?" he asks Ballista curiously, turning and looking up at her.

After a moment, the gnome adds "Will shiny armor man protect Jill?"

Garagos, AC 29 (T19, FF27), HP 98/107, DR 3/-, F +11,R+6,W+10

Garagos stabs slightly the bubble, testing if he can leave them without smashing it.

Logan shoulders past Grackle on his way to F,5, where he swings his mghty morning star in a vicious arc and strikes the hideous Bone Golem for 11 hp damage. (Maybe he broke off its little finger?) 1d20+10=19, 1d8+3=11

Logan's Initiative = 16
1d20+1=16

[sblock=Note to Self]it might not be possible, since this foe is a golem, but turning it is worth a try next round, isn't it?[/sblock]

Grackle notices the others banging on his bubble and trying to get out, so he can only guess that they want out. Maybe. Or maybe they're trying to distract the deady with noise? Still, Grackle thinks it might be good to open the bubble before somebody yells at him. He doesn't like when people yell at him. How is he supposed to know what other people want if they don't say anything? They never say anything, until they yell at him.

Grackle inexplicably starts to sniffle and cry, drooping his head and muttering. The Admiral chitters once and hops down to stand on Grackle's shoulder, keeping wary mustelid eyes on the giant skeleton. Grackle dismisses the Resilient Sphere.

OOC: Umm, Logan and Garagos didn't roll initiative. And the Resilient Sphere is impenetrable. If they beat Grackle's Initiative and don't hold until after he acts, they're going to be disappointed.

[sblock=ArKhandus] what? Grackle didnt notice the ten shiney gold pieces falling to the floor tomb?[/sblock]

Fin will be surprised by the sudden appearance of the golem cursing aloud "I hate the undead". The dwarf will nonetheless roll between its legs, ending up hugging the wall and his rapier in his hands.

Fin will try to run his rapier through the skeletons back, but his weapon is not very effective against such a foe.
