Forked Thread: Scotley's Tomb of Horrors 3.5 Continued

Fin snatches up a large croc of some magical reagent and chucks into the vat where it smashes against the cube. It causes the gelatinous mass to quiver violently before turning a bright violet color.

Jillian, Zorn and Ballista blast the cube into splatters of purple goo scattered about the lab in an impressive display of firepower.

Grackle finds some beetles in intersting shades of peach and green. The peach ones are quite sweet and crunchy, but the green ones are squishy and bitter.

Logan returns to the room just in time to see Harrison steeping from a vat triumphantly holding half a golden key. Logan doesn't remember there being so much puple goo scattered about the room when he left...

Having finished with the lab Logan and Grackle can report the beyond the secret door is a 20' westward passage that leads to a stair descending 20' south. Then 20' of eastward passage. Beyond that a 30-foot-long, 10-foot-deep gap in the corridor is studded with spikes. Observation reveals the spikes are far enough apart for Medium characters to walk between them. Beyond the pit the 10' wide passage continues east as far as you can see.

OOC: I'm going to the beach for a few days and don't expect to update until next Friday.

"Blast! I leave for 30 seconds and you guys make a horrendous mess! Are you going to leave this for the lich to clean?" ;)

Why not? It's not our lab and we were attacked by a gellatinous cube that was hiding in the vat. If you feel the need to clean up, then go ahead. Zorn explains.

Grackle follows Logan back into the lab and gawks. "Was you havin' fun without Grackle?!?!! Why?!?!! Grackle is lots of funs!!!! I loves food-fights! Who got out Shiny Purple Fun Jelly and not tell Grackle?!?!?" the gnome cries out. He hops around and flails his arms about, then scoops up some purple jelly and starts throwing bits of it at people. Then he licks a bit off of his hand out of curiousity.

As Grackle is licking the gelatinous cube jelly, Harrison watches in horror, exclaiming out, " Grackle that is bad, a bad idea!"

"Ehhhh, I guess we'll let it slide for now, heh, heh. Our friend the wizard probably wasn't a neat-freak anyway."

Grackle finds the jelly has a very bitter acidic taste to it. Fortunately, the protective magic cast before the battle protects him and the targets of the 'food fight' from any real harm.

OOC: As you may have guessed, I'm back. Anyone want to try the spiked passage? There is also a door beyond the fog filled corridor.

"Ewwwww......" the gnome says. "You has bad sense of taste. Shiny Purple Fun Jelly not good for food fights. Not if it hits face. Grackle doesn't unnerstand you."

He shakes his head and goes back to looking for bugs or worms along the floor in the room or the hallway, though he stays away from the fog and spike-pit. He still doesn't know why everyone ran away screaming last time they walked into the fog. It wasn't scary to him, but still..... He almost felt like checking it out just to see...... Hmmm...... But bugs now. To get rid of the Shiny Purple Fun Jelly's bitter taste.
