Ballista takes a look at the spiked hallway to see if her ability can bypass them altogether. "Wonder what those were meant to keep down there?"

OOC - are the spike just on the ground of the hallway or walls and ceilings too? How long are the spikes etc.

Ballista takes a closer look at the spike filled pit. The spikes are only in the 10' deep, 30' long pit that completely fills the passage. They extend out about two and half feet from each wall leaving a 5' wide open area through the middle of the pit. There are no spikes on the ceiling or in the floor. It should be a simple enough matter to climb down into the pit, cross between the spikes and climb back up on the other side. Of course as you have learned painfully, such things are rarely simply in the tomb...

Logan Lightbringer, Cleric9, AC28,FF27T17,HP75/76, DR3/-, F+9,R+4,W+11

"Oh, Sweet Pelor's Painful Paunch! That gives me a bad, bad feeling! I hope no one is suggesting that I climb down in that maw of death and traverse the pit?"

"regretfully, i think that the answer will be yes, they do expect us to traverse the maw of eternal death." says harrison to Logan, with only a hint of humor in his voice.

zorn looks at the pit for a moment with a contemplative look on his face.

It doesn't make any sense. Why make a spiked pit with a path through the center? Ballista, do you think there is some sort of trigger mechanism that will activate once we step in between the spikes?

Harrison looks to Logan and shudders at the possible outcome of such an action.

To Harrison, Logan mutters, "Good question, but you won't catch me learning that answer by trial and error! I wish we could just fly down the corridor without touching floor, walls, or ceiling!"

"Nah, Nat the guy with the healin'. Betta someone nimble who can dodge a possible trap before it snaps. Or find it before." Garagos suggests, looking at the 'roguish' party members.
