Forked Thread: Scotley's Tomb of Horrors 3.5 Continued

Logan Lightbringer, Cleric9, AC28,FF27T17,HP76-10+3DR=69/76, DR3/-, F+9,R+4,W+11.

Re-evaluating the wisdom of engaging the golem in melee, Logan will take advantage of the other attacks made by his companions, and, not letting his guard waver in the slightest, will withdraw from melee as a full round action.

If no one engages the golem in melee this round, Logan will not withdraw, but will just be on full defense instead.

"C'mon ya overgrown dog treat!" Fin shouts, as he continues his thrusting manuevers against the golem.

Grackle "Grubeater" Granitetop, HP 67/57, AC 20/T16/F16, F+6, R+7, W+5

Grackle thinks for a moment, then decides that if shooting shiny-magic pellets won't work, maybe slimy-magic spitballs will do better. So he steps back and retrieves a dart from his belt, gibbering out another spell and pointing the dart at the deady. He gathers some phlegm and hawks a loogie too, just to maybe lend the spell a bit more power....

The magic spitball coalesces before Grackle as a slimy greenish blob, the size of the dart or maybe a little bigger, and then flies at the big skeleton-thing to smack into its ribcage and splatter across a few bones. The magic loogie hisses and smokes as it eats away at the deady's bones for almost half a minute. "Stall!" Grackle insists.

[sblock=ooc]Stepping back 5 feet and within view of the bone golem as needed, casting Acid Arrow. Rolled a 17 to hit with the ranged touch attack. Deals 7 acid damage now, 6 next round, 5 on the round after that, and 5 more on the round after that.
1d20+9=17, 2d4=7, 2d4=6, 2d4=5, 2d4=5
Should add +2 more to the attack roll from Ballista's music, but I don't think the damage gets boosted since it's not a weapon.

Active Effects: Mage Armor, False Life.
Spell Slots Remaining: 6/6 0-level, 4/7 1st-level, 4/7 2nd-level, 6/7 3rd-level, 3/5 4th-level.[/sblock]

Jillian 29
Fin 20
Grackle 17
Ballista 17
Zorn 16
Logan 16
Harrison 9
Bone Golem 7
Garagos 5

Garagos continuous to attack this construct bone thing. Of his many blows, only one strikes true.

Jillian continues to swing her weapon at the beastie hoping that she might actually scratch it. One of her blows does just scratch it.

"C'mon ya overgrown dog treat!"
Fin shouts, as he continues his thrusting manuevers against the golem. He too manages to just scratch the bony foe a couple of times.

He may have hit on the right spell because the acid is clearly working on the bones.

Ballista takes careful aim again, and sets loose 4 devastating shots into the strange golemn. Three of them seem to do some damage.

Zorn?

Harrison? OOC: Might as well act. Zorn seems to be AWOL.

Bone Golem?

Garagos?

OOC: Everyone but Harrison and Zorn please wait for just a bit.

okie dokie

Harrison is quite limited on his tricks against such a creature. so he does the ol' standby....
(combat buffs: zorn, haste[+1 to ac and att] ballista, inspirational boost [+2 att, cam, sv vs fear]

attack 1
1d20+19=33, 1d8+9=12

attack 2

(I know that the last attack wont be until the end of the round, but i did it so there would be no wait.)

Ballista, HP48/48, AC 27/29vRanged(FF19/24vR-T15/20vR) F5 R13 W6

Ballista looks at the golemn a moment before lowering her bow. "Well that was bracing. Way to go not dieing everyone! Only one box left."
