"gulp!"

Harrison also makes a sign of the sun over his heart. A room this large is staryting to make him nervious, so he changes out his longsword and shield for his long bow.
"Remind me, when we have some free time, Harrison, and I'll gladly instruct you in the service of Pelor! You made the Sign of the Sun very well. You show promise as an acolyte!" ;)

As he looks around the room, Zorn remarks:

This is not a good place. I wonder how many sacrifices or other evil deeds were done here?

He will then cast detect magic and look at the altar and around the room in general.

Grackle follows the others from his usual 'safe distance', and sees the strange room after Jill goes in to search out any traps. The gnome wanders in behind the others and looks around at the murals, grinning and drooling.

"Ooooh, more pretty pictures.....but these ones're kinda ooogly. Why would peoples make pictures o' deady people? Deady people don't walk 'round an' farm an' stuff. At least, not in gnome places. D'they do that in humie places? I only see 'em walk 'round in nasty places like this, an' they never jes' wanna talk.... What would deady people talk about, though? D'they talk 'bout how stinky they is? I would talk about that if I were a deady person. D'they eat the juicy, crunchy bugses that crawl all o'er them, ya think? I would. I'd be like MRAWWW JUICY BUGSES ALL FOR ME TO EATS!!!" the gnome rambles out, briefly doing his best impersonation of a hungry zombie walking around, even chewing on his own arms and toes a little, and some imaginary bugs.

Hearing Grackle's words, Logan just rolls his eyes, sighs, and quietly says, "Precious Pelor, Please Preserve the Persnickety."

"its only because i have seen you do it so many times" he says with an attempt at humor...failing miserably.

To grackle he answers the question about zombie farmers in human lands with a negative response, and then shudders at the mental picture at what a zombie may farm after grackle's rather graphic imitation of eating bugs..

OOC: Sorry for the delay, the map was a challenge to do right. The Ceiling here like most rooms in the Tomb is 12' high.

As Jillian eases forward to the line of pews she discovers that each is an uncomfortable looking hard bench with a hinged seat. Opening the Northeastern most of the pews, upon which she finds no trap, reveals a hollow interior filled with 4,000 silver pieces. Checking the rear pew on the opposite side reveals another 4,000 sp.

As Logan examines the wall next to him he is surprised to see a image of the radiant sun of Pelor. More shockingly he can sense the mild aura of good radiating from it. Other symbols of benevolent deities are scattered among the images.

As Jillian moves forward with her torch the southern half of the room can be seen more clearly. Behind the wooden railing is an opalescent blue altar glowing with an inner light, which is set before a tiered dais that supports a well-carved and padded wooden chair. Two large brass candelabra, each holding five white candles (unlit), stand on either side of the dais. Two large white pottery urns, each stoppered with brass, sit in each corner. A human skeleton wearing badly rusted and torn black chainmail lies dead in the south-western portion of the room, one outstretched arm seeming to point into a mist-filled arch on the southern end of the west chapel wall.

[sblock=Zorn]The glowing blue altar is magical (strong evocation), as is the mist filling the arch (conjuration). Additionally, there is something within the easternmost urn that radiates dimly of conjuration or enchantment. The aura is mostly blocked by the stoppered urn making it difficult to determine the exact aura. From beneath the skeleton comes a faint aura that is also blocked, but might be abjuration or transmutation. [/sblock]

"I am amazed to see a symbol of Pelor in this place! I almost have the urge to blot it out to prevent Pelor's good name from being associated with this evil crypt in any way."
