A search reveals several points of interest. Both chests are triple locked and all the locks are trapped with a poison needles, which Jillian can remove these with relative ease, but they seem to get progressively more complex. Both chests show signs of having been pried and picked at before. The sarcophagus once had some precious inlay that has been pried out. The lid will slide open easily. The urn continues to smoke. This gold filigreed container is the
size of a Small creature, and a thin stream of smoke issues from a tiny vent in its brass stopper that is sealed with gold fill. This gold must be pried out to open the urn. The statues appear quite menacing, but do not appear trapped. They are quite heavy, but do not appear to be attached to the floor and so could be removed if enough strength were applied. No other traps are revealed at this point.
"I sense a strong anti-magic field within that room. Spells will be difficult to cast and magic items may not work at all. If we go in, we must be extremely cautious. There is the possibility that those statues will come alive under the right circumstances." he relays to the rest of his companions.
Grackle nods along, though he's at the back of the group. The gnome chips in with "Yup yup, baaaaaad room. Leave it alone! Statues here like to get up and hurt us. Grackle says we go find shinies somewhere else! Grackle prolly no good if statues attack in baaaaad room, cuz all Grackle has is magic stuff. Grackle magic too, so maybe baaaad room hurt Grackle if he go in..........gnomes is all magic, y'know." He nods once in affirmation and finds a hiding place around the corner or something.
"Yes," says Logan as he waits outside the room with Grackle. "The last thing we wish is for our precious Gnome to be injured or de-magiced! Let us look for 'shinies' elsewhere."
Garagos, AC 29 (T19, FF27), HP 107/107, DR 3/-, F +11,R+6,W+10
"If we go in, we should use this adamantine axe to destroy the statues first. What is broken cannot come alive." Garagos' plans seem often to include axes...
"Go ahead. I can shoot anything that comes to life from out here where all my stuff works." Ballista notchs an arrow and waits for the rest to chime in. "There might be some nasty mechanical traps in there too."
