Fort Knocks - knight otu judging

Rurik studies Eusebius with rheumy, dwarven eyes.

"O'er 'ere! We need 'ealing!" he barks at the back of the group, testily.

He turns back toward Eusebius. "Yer need ta antis.. antisa... 'it where it's gun ta be, not where 'tis. And save yer bows fer roy'lty - I'm jes' a weap'nsmith."

Then he winks at the young monk. "Yer did good, fer a novice."

As Eusebius reports back to Susan for healing, Rurik scatters the broken bones of their assailants some distance apart with his feet.

Eusebius said:
"So, Deep-delver, is it worth collecting the picks these creatures were carrying and returning them to the mine site?"

"I dunno - yer want ta carry 'em back'a the mine? I got one a'ready. S'pose t'would na do 'arm ta load 'em aboard the 'orses.

So're we campin' 'ere, er what? We gots folks need tendin' to, an' offa the road's as good as any.

ooc: Cool. Adding the time bonus, that means that we first level ones have enough xp to level -at the appropiate time, ofc ourse-. I don´t think we should camp now, I´ve only spent 1 power point, and that´s what the wand is for, anyway.

Nodis is almost jumping up and down. "That was totally wicked! And I finished two of them! Come on, let´s continue, I´m sure there´s still plenty of them waiting for us!"

Rurik studies Nodis as if he manifested himself a third eye.

"A'right, 's fine with me, but we gots wounded ta 'tend to, first.

An' from now on, we fight all t'gether, er die separatelike! 'Sblood, me boyo's fixin' ta puke, 'e may a' damn near got kilt, an' I'll na' 'ave yer needlesslike deaths 'a me conscience! 's NOT a game, an' 'tis def'nitlike NOT easy!

Ye e'er seen a man die? It can 'aunt ye fer the rest o' yer days!
"

The dwarf dusts off his axe, and hangs it back into his belt loop. Trudging back to his horse, those with keen hearing and a keen understanding of Mountain Dwarven may have heard a prayer mumbled to Chennet', something along the lines of "save the children"...

"Sorry, dude" answers Nodis. "But I´m afraid I didn´t understand a word of what you said."

Turning around to see the others´ faces he says aloud: "What? It was about time somebody said that!"

If Rurik heard Nodis on the way back to his horse, he didn't outwardly indicate it to anyone.

Mounting up, he looks on with approval as the wounded are patched up with the wand. Once Eusebius is back in fighting order, he spurs onward, once again at the head of the horsepack.

Once he is healed, Eusebius picks up the mining tools and puts them on one of the horses. "No reason the miners should have a harder time of it than they already have," he reasons to himself. He also picks up his longspear from where he dropped it and then moves off with the others, keeping an eye open for any further bands of roving undead.

Rurik [ed] notices Eusebius' careful collection of stolen mining supplies [:] and smiles at him appreciatively as they ride on.

"Ye are a kind soul, Br'er Eusebius.

Well, so far, so good. Nob'dy dead, an a lil' more road is clear't out once again fer comm'rce...

Yer feeling a'right? Check ye... where ye got 'it. Make sure'n no ghoul rot 'as set in.
"

OOC:
Depending on what healing E receives - KB, I assume that you'll handle that ...

"Thank you, Rurik. My family were farmers, and I know the importance of good tools - and the frustration of not having them to hand. As to my wound, it seems fully healed."

"Thank you, too, for your words of encouragement earlier. Sometimes my eagerness to cleanse the world of this evil outstrips my ability to do so. But - so far - I live and I learn." He grins and nods to the dwarf. "May that long hold true, for all of us!"
