Descent into the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth is an abridged version of the full adventure, which appears in Quests from the Infinite Staircase. You can access it for free on D&D Beyond.

Deep in the Yatil Mountains lie the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth, formerly occupied by the legendary archmage Iggwilv the Witch Queen. Though Iggwilv is long gone, her lair is anything but empty. Demons, giants, and other formidable creatures haunt the perilous caverns, and the archmage’s magical defenses remain intact. The rewards for braving these threats defy imagination. Iggwilv is rumored to have amassed a magical hoard of unsurpassed value, a trove of such fame that scores of adventurers have perished in search of it.

This supplement is part of a yearlong celebration of Dungeons & Dragons and its 50th anniversary. The adventure presented herein is an abridged, quick-play version of “The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth,” which appears in Quests from the Infinite Staircase. See that book for the full adventure.

“Descent into the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth” is designed for four to six 9th-level characters.

That is a lot more work, as I have experienced converting Uncharted Journeys into an FG mod. What does occur to me, is that print to pdf is an option.
So, I just checked, the players handbook only prints per chapter. One would have to then stitch together all the chapters to get a pdf.

Sure, but it means you can make your alterations and annotations directly to it. And I was talking about the adventure, not the whole PHB!

It probably shouldn't be able to swim either, crickets don't do well in water...

If we are being picky, give it blindsight 60 ft. (blind beyond this radius), and it seems to have lost it's jump trait, which was probably the reason they gave it the frog statblock in the first place! I would let it jump as a bonus action, avoiding attacks of opportunity. I'm not sure about spider climb, I've never seen a cricket hanging upside down.

Maybe make it's attack an acid spit?
See, that's what I get for going fast.....I wanted to give the cricket something, which is why I gave it spider climb and the smelly thing. I don't remember touching jump....

This just shows why they didn't give it a statblock in the first place, most of this doesn't matter.

If we are going to the trouble of making this, we may as well make it a challenge for 1st level characters. When threatened some crickets produce a little ball of spittle that is an irritant. One got me when I was a kid!

I don’t find the ddb monster maker very user friendly.

As a publisher, I am embarrassed at my lack of proofreading this before posting it. I'll fix it.

See I love learning this kind of thing about real world animals. I floated the idea of the sperm whale stat block in Rime of the Frostmaiden being able to stun things with an ultrasonic click, but understandably that didn't get picked up. Disappointing but I get it. :p

This is why I was talking about having a spreadsheet of basic stats from CR 1/4 through 30! Grab the stats and then add stuff like different movement abilities and combat stuff. If you're really fancy and have the skills, you can even program your spreadsheet to create the monsters you want via drop down menus, by increasing stats, adding new abilities, etc. (I am not at that skill level, but work with people who have those skills.)

Hopefully I actually proofread this correctly.

First, I added jumpy and deleted swim. Duh. Then I added cowardly and bad luck and sword tail. I read a bit about cave crickets, and the females have sword tails, and in some mythology it is bad luck to kill crickets. For the most part, crickets don't like conflict.

I deleted smelly, which I had only added to punish (old school style) PCs that killed innocent creatures. Bad luck takes care of that.

anyway, the cave cricket (fixed), for your possible enjoyment (or not):
