When a wizard levels up, he gets two free spells in his book. What about this situation?
A Wiz5/Ftr1 adventures and becomes a Wiz5/Ftr2. He is halfway to 8th level and is studying for another wizard level.
He gets killed in battle, sending him back to Wiz5/Ftr1, halfway up in XP (18,000XP), and then gets his XP from the battle in which he was killed, bringing him up to 19,832.
At 21,000XP, he will choose to take a level of wizard instead of the level of fighter that he lost, making him a Wiz6/Ftr1. Does he get two free spells? Remember that he is only advancing half a level of wizard from the death (and that level was originally a Fighter level).
Does it seem strange to "reward" a death with two free spells? Should he only get one free spell instead?
