D&D General Gameplay Trailer for D&D Dark Alliance Video Game

I'd forgotten all about this, but it was one of the 7 digital Dungeons & Dragons games mentioned in February of 2020. It's a console game which launches in June, and you can now watch a gameplay trailer of it.



The game features a Drizz't and his friends, and you get to fight frost giants, beholders, and white dragons in Icewind Dale. You can pre-order it now.

Is "try too hard" metal a thing? After watching this trailer, I feel like it should be a thing.

Normally, I would say yes, but I loved Brutal Legend, and I doubt this can out metal that. And I certainly thought there was a lot of "Try too hard metal" involved.

Otherwise, I am not sure I am sold on the graphics style they are shooting for here. We shall see, what we shall see.

Plus I didn't even know it was named dudes in the video as the player characters until someone said something, and even after that I don't really care. It would have been better that I could make my own thing, but I'll play some interesting pregens if I have to. I liked Vermintide plenty.

And it's entirely possible that with about four months to go, there's still plenty of work being done on it. Regardless, if it's enjoyable to play, I'll likely be happy enough with it regardless.

The too-bright lighting and shiny skin everyone has made me think the same thing. Not dealbreakers, but noticeable.

I am all for Metal Ogres stringing away on Heavy Metal Guitars in DND/Forgotten Realms/Campaign Settings.

Hells, Monster of Murka's latest release gives you a Punk Rocker Barbarian Subclass with the option of getting your very own Shredding Axe(Guitar) weapon.

So crank that absurdity up!!!!!

It's not just the new D&D crowd that isn't familiar with Dark Alliance. I never heard of it until people mentioned it in this thread.
