General Forum - More Threads per Page?

With the optimization, EN World can probably risk a few more threads per page in the general forum. It might also alleviate the tendancy for some folks to keep going back to the same thread and posting themself into a corner or a fight or a ban or oblivion.

We're going to wait for the new server before we do anything like that.

I had understood that it was the areas that were optimized that had been a drag on the servers but I also understand the trepidation regarding re-upping the number of threads and the potential drag that might cause, as well. It is a shame that a trial increase of the number of threads cannot be performed to see if it could be done with no problems. Hopefully the new servers will be in place soon. Thanks.
