God Rules: Players Guide (5e)

I would likely need a hand with a bunch of stuff (at least this first time).
To follow up a point I made in a previous post, you can set up a pre-launch page, see below. You get the word out about the prelaunch page and people can "follow" the launch. The number of followers gives you a good idea on a minimum number of backers for the project. So before you even launch the KS you can get an idea of the success. Also, the followers are likely to sign on early in the KS and getting it funded early also tends to help sales.

Okay I had a look earlier and got to the Rewards section, I'll fill out the rest tomorrow morning. If I have any issues I will message you amigo. I set the launch for 1st of March, 30 days with a $5000 goal (that should definitely give me enough time to finish everything no problems).

One thing I am not sure about was the Late Pledge. If I am fulfilling everything via Drivethru (for now at least depending on Print version backers) Kickstarter is saying to me to add 10% to the sale price (for late pledges) which seems a bit unnecessary.

Let me get through the holidays and I will see how I can help.

Cheers amigo.

I have run one successful KS, so I have some insight. I have some ideas to help drive sales based on my KS and my experience with KS purchases.

About 90% of it seems fairly straightforward.

Stretch Goals typically have a dollar basis, when I probably need 500+ Hardcover Copy backers to make all the fulfillment and better quality print job financially viable.

Composing the "Story" and having all the relevant images and text headers will likely take a day or two. I'll see what I can come up with for the Kickstarter for January 1st and see if I need any help at that point. You enjoy your holidays. :giggle:

Merry Christmas all! :giggle:

Was wondering what the best way to explain the God Tiers for the Kickstarter (or website) and quickly put the following together. I know its very garish (and not even sure why I included the Ultral Tier), this page is not part of the book itself, just curious to hear any feedback.

I like the idea, if not necessarily the specific rankings. However, as a graphic it is really hard to read. "very garish" only being a part of that IMO.

Do you mean the rankings of the "Examples" or the ranking of the Tiers themselves?

The Tiers/Divine Ranks are set up to parallel the 1-20 Class Levels with the ranks continuing to 30 (anything higher is hypothetical) to evoke the Challenge Ratings going to 30.

Each Divine Rank is indirectly equivalent to about 6 Class Levels (or +4 Challenge Rating) in power. However, the jumps are not linear additions, so you don't get +6 Hit Dice for instance.

However, as a graphic it is really hard to read. "very garish" only being a part of that IMO.

Aside from the Ultral Tier I thought the rest was at least legible. As noted previously, not even sure why I included the Ultral Tier to be honest.

I find this all very intriguing! Really looking forward to your Kickstarter.

Cheers Micah mate! :giggle:

ALMOST getting there. Sorting out the Kickstarter and Website aside the book should be fully written (and illustrated) with around 8 more weeks of work. Bit of a novice on this Kickstarter thing and while I thought Squarespace would have made designing the website very simple; initially its extremely fiddly to get to grips with.

FWIW, as regards the Divine Rank chart the Neutronium Golem would be around Divine Rank 10 ish* in power (CR 52)

*I may tweak it before its inclusion in the Bestiary, but CR 52 seems about right.

By the way does anyone know the best way to get a miniature of the God Reaper (the guy on the book cover) commissioned? I see every other Kickstarter has some miniatures and while I don't want to complicate things for my first crowdfunding it would seem like a missed opportunity to not have a miniature of the "main character". I had a look on Etsy and there were some sculptors offering their services for $150-250...is that normal?

Edit: I contacted GreyBlueStudios about the miniature will see what they say.

I was talking about the rankings of the examples. However, my tiers differ a bit too. I rate deities higher than you. occupying the first 6 immortal tiers (roughly equivalent to the 6 immortal tiers in BECMI) out of ten total tiers (and no entities in the top 2 tiers at all). Personal preference.

I also don't care for a DM tier (or something above that), but I never liked that conceit in D&D. Again, personal preference and no slight on what your doing.

The white glowing line "glare" on the left hand side was quite distracting for me. But yes, the ultra tier was particularly difficult to read.
