Okay...now that the rules are out...I'm now in the camp the the greataxe is decidedly inferior to greatswords and mauls. The crit rules are roll all damage dice twice and GWF rerolls 1s and 2s once. So greatsword does extra .5 on a hit and 1 on a crit. For GWF it is twice that (2d6 average is 8.33 and 1d12 is 7.33). To me this is not a huge deal but I am disappointed there is not some advantage to Greataxe. If there is one it is not obvious to me.
