Green Lantern Rebirth (Spoilers)

Yeah, I loved that quote. Morrison loved Kyle. All of Kyle's best moments
seem to have been in Morrison's JLA.

This fits that perfectly. While all the other GLs are being taken over by
the Yellow Fear Monster, he's able to fight the lure. Why? He has fear.

Man, I loved that issue of JLA. I've been trying to get a Sandman-hooked friend of mine to read it for ages, but he thinks that DC beyond Vertigo and Frank Miller is universally childish. Sheesh.

I remember their talk. "You will surpass him."

Nuts to that. They should skip over Barry Allen entirely, and bring back Jay Garrick!
As Jay Garrick is around, Wally West...is the official *modern* Flash in every sense of the word. Bringing Barry back, will be a slap.

Consider this moment, Wally is the only one of the sidekick table to reach that plateau, in taking the mantle from the original owner.

Why do you say that? We don't know what Kyle's fate will be at all. I don't think DC will
knock him out of the franchise, but he's not *The* Green Lantern, anymore, that's for
sure. The real question becomes, will he stay in the spotlight or fall into limbo.

The rumour mill is currently foretelling a second Green Lantern title in late 2005, most
likely a Green Lantern Corps one, which would, presumably star the backup Lanterns, but
this is 10% based on hints from DC and 90% based on speculation.
Sorry, I didn't mean to sound cold, I just tired of the fact, that Kyle has gone through much, and now, he is getting the boot, so to speak. Major Force should have got what was coming to him...just like Kyle's old girlfriend got done in the fridge...sorry, just my quarter.

But on his exit out...he should be going out in style. I hope for that.

Barry will be back when DC remembers that he was a "police scientist" and sees how popular forensic fact and fiction is right now on TV. Anyone ready for "CSI: Central City"? :p
