Li Shenron

Legend
Sir Reginald sheathes his sword, straightens a bit the clothes coming out of his armor, then smiles at Khefren with a mix of pride and sense of duty in his voice: "Indeed I have dear gentleman, at least for tonight, as I am on routine patrol duties for the Harmonium. I thank you for your support in this little unpleasant but rightful scuffle... may I ask, are you or any of your comrades in need of medical assistance?"

"I'm fine. Thank you. I was lucky to not impale myself on those blades, though. Sorry for your armor by the way. This guy scratched it a bit. But I suppose he already paid for that crime.

Lex got a bump on... hum... one of his... corner, I guess. Are you ok Lex?

And this poor fellow is out. But I'm not sure if he's alive or not. "

OOC: Can Khefren tell if he is alive? Is it obvious? Medecine check: 5...

"Khefren! Thank you for this lovely stick! I will analyze it closely and submit to you my findings in the form of a lengthy treatise."

"Sir Reginald, if it lay within your capacities to mend the damage to my construction, I would greatly appreciate the help. I am otherwise uncertain that my winning smile will ever be able to operate at greater than 74% efficacy."

*Takes Leau's hand*

"And you, Leau, may have saved me from demolition. Though I have not calculated the odds that the fight would have ended in me being destroyed, it is because of your action that the trajectory of the trendline was diverted. Please think of me always as your friend, good and true, and know that so long as my cogware still turns, I will always be your date and your sincere ally in whatever tragedy I estimate will befall us."

*Starts walking, dragging an unconscious man by the arm like a dolly*

"Let'sall follow me to yet another undisclosed location!"

Sleepover at Lex's

Lex leads you all to an apparently abandoned building in the Slum that this city seems to call the Hive.

A colored torch burning next to the door brings Lex comfort. A distinct knock on the door gains him admission to the building from a thin muscular form in armor with a long sword in his hand. The form closes the door and escorts you to an inner room well enough lit for you to see her yellow skin and pointed ears. On the floor are a handful of filthy bedrolls and a small cookfire warms a pot of some kind of soup or broth.
"Nights friends better soon ready soup. Lezaka you are?" her voice is gruf, that of a seasoned soldier and her words string together in a kind of chaotic song barely any sense can be made of it without thinking, unless you are practiced at this type of speech pattern. Before anyone has a chance to respond she points to the unconscious man questioningly. "Story?"

OOC: Lezaka seems to be the only one here other than you and some rodents tonight. She has not put away her sword but her posture shows that it is more a caution than a threat. Go ahead and RP all you like I'll try to help conversations move along by posting more frequently if questions are asked but won't move the story forward until you guys are ready to go.

Unless you say otherwise I am assuming that you are taking a long rest here. After that combat please level up to 2nd level. I would like all of you to also have an inspiration dice to use.

(This response of Sir Reginald to Lex's words occurred while still on the street)

Sir Reginald takes a close look at the Modron, he's seen the kind before, and is aware that his Lay on Hands wouldn't work on constructs, so he tries to apologize as kindly as possible: "I am afraid dear sir, that I am unable to provide any help to your... wounds. My skills don't extend much beyond healing flesh and bones."

Seeing that nobody else is hurt, Sir Reginald would then just use Lay on Hands on himself (5hp regained, thus up to 10hp out of his max 11hp).

OOC: I know there has been talk about it with the Warforged.
Since they are living constructs that are "born" not built I have no problem giving Modrons full benefits from healing spells. I can't remember (That doesn't mean it isn't there) any precedent for them not receiving benefits from healing spells in previous versions of Planescape or in the 5e version I have. However I think it's a wonderful thing for Sir Reginald to not think it would work.

*Clutches Reginald's hand and shoves it into the open head wound, which is loaded with cold, wet material like a Halloween pumpkin full of scrap metal*

"That is a common misconception, Sir, regarding modron anatomy. Now, if you will follow my direction, I will guide your healing fingers to my primary response ampules, which regulate my self-repair protocol. Please exercise caution when applying pressure to them or you may activate the load regulator diaphragms."

Leau finally takes a moment to brush a hand at his horns in a check for chips and cracks. Satisfied, he settles into arranging his braids back into proper place and teasing the flattened ones back to shape. "You're welcome, Lex. Figure I owe you for keeping more of that from happening anyway. But this is..." He shakes a finger at the brain surgery. "Yeah. I'll leave the healers to that."
He clears his throat, and turns his head to Lezaka. "We stumbled across an attack in an alley. Having trouble sorting out who was who at the moment, but no one's getting stabbed right now."

Lazaka's kip

As Lex is calculating his movements he sees a rat scurry across the floor and is thankful that he doesn't see it's brain.

Lazaka shudders as she sees Lex insert Sir Reginald hand into his damaged head and unconsciously wipes her own hand on her pant leg as if to clean it.

"Common more attacks barmys most this friend one attack or? Night safe not sideout gang fiends area in pay off often trouble avoid." She motions to the unconscious spellcaster.

Nightto kip mine can stay you want trouble no. If that trouble one up wake beam to tie gag question answers need leave morning in I will." She moves her finger from the spellcaster to what once was an elegant decorative iron archway leading from this room to another, now rust shows on it and the wall around it is giving out in places.

OOC: When you level up to 2nd level go ahead and take Max HP. Remember to heal and restore all resources that should be restored durning a long rest.

"By the gods of math and other nonsense, that is... remarkable to say the least!" (shuffles his fingers inside Lex, but delicately) "Well my dear gentleman, I am happy to learn that I can help you too, although naturally I wish there won't be need to." Then Sir Reginald retracts his hand, looks at it with dumb stupor and mutters to himself: "Ho, ho, who would have thought... I can fix things.

Khefren secures Shadownknave and searches him. "We should decide what we gonna do with our new "friend". Does anyone got any... hum... interview skills?"

Lazaka's kip

You drag Shadowknave over to the archway and tie him up. His body is limp and the closest he shows to a sign of consciousness is when you notice he is drooling when you sit him up and place a gag in his mouth.

On his belt he has a pouch with 2 emeralds, 31gp, and 26sp and an ornate dagger.

He is wearing a very nice cloak made of some kind of black hide, a dark colored shirt, vest and pants, and lether wrist and forearm guards with decorative metalwork on them.

His cloths and boots are warn from use, old but well taken care of.

Li Shenron

Legend
"Let's make sure he's secured enough so that he won't flee, for now. We can question him when he regains consciousness. I could also ask for some backup from the Harmonium, but they'll probably just take him away and do the interrogations on their own. He sure does look a shady fellow..." As Khefren ties Shadowknave up, Sir Reginald slightly bends closer and inspects him carefully > uses Divine Sense, just to check the nature of the prisoner.

OoC: I think Sir Reginald is out of healing powers at the moment, so he can't revive Shadowknave until next day.

OOC: As soon as you guys are ready we can jump to waking up and seeing Shadowknave unable to move or speak, struggling to look around but awake and not happy. With who ever is on watch at that point supervising of course.

Sir Reginald approaches the tied up Shadowknave, leaning in and bringing his hand the the spellcasters head lifting it to get a better look at him. As his hair moves and he gets a better look at him in the light Sir Reginald notices that his ears are slightly pointed, his features a mix of human and some species of Elf.
His senses detect nothing that make him believe that the man in front of him is anything more than he seems to be. A Half Elf trained or gifted in the art of magic.

Well Then

Lex comes over to give shadowknave a look over. This spellcaster seems to be a middle aged Half Elf male, average height and in what you expect to be the 40th percentile for weight. The wear pattern and quality of his cloths in combination with his lack of a foul smell lead you to believe that, although he is playing the part, he is not a full time resident of the Hive or Lower Ward, merely someone trying to fit in. The discrepancy between the quality of the rest of his belongings and the dagger, wrist guards and cloak all have some special significance, items he wouldn't travel without, with a high probability of being of a magical nature. The wand you obtained from him seems to be a fairly mundane spell focus without special properties though it is made from an interesting planar wood that you are currently unable to identify specifically but has properties suggesting origins in the Outlands, likely close to Faunel.

Seeing an unusual pattern in the way his vest wrinkles Lex is able to find a secret pocket. In which there is a complexly folded paper. This paper has strange writing on it, seemingly gibberish, and no matter how you fold or unfold the paper the it seems to maintain it's general size and have no end to the number of folds. A few moments of inspection makes you 90% sure that this is the most interesting format for a spellbook you have ever seen.

There are no signs on his person or belongings that connect him with any of the known factions in Sigil.

OOC:
There is also a 75% chance that he is a Scorpio that likes cats, long romantic walks on the Ditch and fine wine.

Unless anyone has more they want to do beforehand will move forward to the end of the long rest tomorrow. Shadowknave will be awake.
