OK this is weird. the little box that came up has a "1" being rolled for Fort. But the url dooly-bobber has an 18. Which one is right?

I see [1,3] = 4 for the second roll from the URL...

Yeah that was the first box, which is what I saw and then wrote about. But I copied the url link thing and there it's wrong

If I don't need the action point, I won't spend it.

What kind of monster shits on you? What is this?

Fort save:
Fort save (1d20+4=19)

EDIT: Hey! I missed that we get an attack of opportunity. Here's that roll, too.

attack of opportunity on wurm (1d20+5=12, 1d10+3=8)

I am definitely spending that action point on my attack roll. Here's that bonus:
action point (1d4=3)

Brings the total attack DC to 15.

I also just noticed that I never added in 1 point to one of my ability scores. Can I bank that till I need it? :)

In game terms, it's an underpowered wyvern with the stinger replaced by a 'defecation attack'. I didn't make it up...stole it from the Gonji series of books by Rypel. Came out nice in your creature creator...but didn't strike the right kind of fear I was looking for in this scene...

:)

I was wondering if you were going to see that. I think you're the only one capable of giving it one more swipe.

No sweat.

As the wyrm leaps skyward, Mananga's final strike rebounds off of the creature's tough hide. The scream of Arturio's dying horse and the shrieking of the wind cover the wyrm's receding roar. Just before it disappears into the blowing ice, it descends to snatch up one of the panicked Vanir ponies and is gone.

Arnvid rounds on the group, his eyes flashing.

"You miss a Aesir scout and allow us to walk into a Northwyrm's den, while my brother probably spills is lifeblood against the Blood Ravens," he says, dragging on his garron's reins. "I've half a mind to set my own men on you and throw your worthless corpses into the rift!"

Ongwi visibly sags, his hands and feet nigh frozen.

Ongwi is fatigued from the cold (no running or charging -2 STR and DEX until you get some place warm and rest for 8 hours--this note is for me...:). All of the Vanir are currently dismounted (11 out of the 20 remain, not counting Arnvid - 9 went into the rift with their horses). The surviving ponies are scattered, but most are in sight. Ongwi estimates about 10 minutes by foot to the Vale.

Ongwi mutters a vile curse in Pictist. "I missed nothing. We would have avoided the wyrm had we not had to turn back for you. Leavingf with no warning. And the seal eaters put us on this path not I. But the longer you stand here and accuse me of things I did not do, the longer your brother fights by himself." adds the Pict through blue lips while stomping his feet.

Uhh, I believe that violates the express terms of the software agreement.

Using the software for a purpose not intended by the author, I mean.

Definitely not.

"And I wouldn't have turned back if you'd noted the Aesir scout shadowing us. It looks as if the allkaldar tvær (literally "cold widows") will claim you, anyway. No need to sully my blades," Arnvid says with an ugly smile. "Men! Gather your horses! Those that can't, keep up as you will!"

He wheels his mount and charges off, head downturned following the edge of the rift. His bannerman hastily mounts and follows as the other Vanir rush after their horses.

Ongwi looks to Arturio, but a small shake of that helmed head holds the Pict in check. 'My job is look ahead of us not behind us you fat, blind bear. Next time I will let the stupid northmen walk over the ice' he thinks. This cold was getting to him. He had brought enough skins, but somehow he didn't have all of them now when he needed them. But he lets the rage building inside him and the lust to drink Arnvid's blood keep him warm inside as he trots up to retreive his arrow he left beside the rift. Running at a good pace to keep his outside warm, he trails behind Arturio. But he was tired, tired and cold. 'Let the fat bears kill each other' he thinks 'The seal eaters told me where to go not them, let's see the fat blind one find the Blood Ravens.'

The way around the rift is easily found and as Arnvid's men ride up on their horses, the Vanir commander's pace increases considerably. Ongwi's labored tread held back his own companions, and the mounted men disappeared into the icy haze.

The Pict stopped and listened. From this distance, even the clanking of Aturio's armor and his ragged breathing should not cover the sounds of battle that surely must be raging. Concern etched the wild man's features.

"Something is wrong ahead," he said, his voice strained with the pain of circulation returning to his frozen extremities.

OOC: Pausing here so everyone can catch up with whatever they want to do. Ongwi estimates that the Vale is just out of sight ahead (about 200 yards away).
