D&D 5E hafrogman's Hoard of the Dragon Queen (full)

I haven't had any troubles, not sure what the deal was. I've just been waiting for the others to opine.

As far as Jeni, I'm not even sure she could get through the sally gate in bear form, to be honest. She might have to change in any event. Might be helpful to have her in elf form too as she's known in town. It might help us not get killed by the defenders of the keep, LOL.

(Not sure if it's happening to the rest of you by enworld has been difficult to get in or extremely slow for me the last few days.)

Agree, I think sneaking either north or south would work. Each has its pros and cons. North seem shorter, but possibly more chance of encounters. South is longer, but possibly more deserted. Whatever the case is though, at some point when we near the gate, we would likely have to bluff or fight our way through. As he had suggested, Carad can throw his illusions to at least get the vulnerable refugees through. I like the idea of disguising the kids as kobolds. Maybe using illusions to make them appear as kobolds. :-)

I'm undecided about Jeni-bear though. On one hand, a bear is quite conspicuous, but in crunch, we might need her bear might. Perhaps if she keeps to a distance and charges in when necessary?

I've kept her in bear form because I also felt that it could still be helpful. Worse comes to worse, she can charge a maul a few ennemies, and still have 1 shapechange to assume a form that runs fast and gets to the keep.

I haven`t posted anything because aside from growling and bobbing its head, I'm not sure how Jeni_bear can contribute to the planning ;-)
Cheers,

The main gates are at rows 10-11. The sally port is on the south west side of the keep, row 17. I'm making this all up as the keep is not terribly detailed in the maps. The peasants technically could have headed that direction, but A) it's currently closed, and B) they're terrified and not thinking with tactical precision.

hafrogman, seeing Carad's position at the corner of the keep, is it feasible for him to hide behind the walls from the raiders (other than the N6 cultist)? So that he can attempt to sneak attack after that.

Yes, I will allow you to use the wall as cover for that purpose.

Attack ennemy at H11 (not sure how this works since it is in Jeni_bear's space), then G10 if the first one is slain
Sorry it's unclear. H11 is the flying kobold, currently above your head and out of reach. I couldn't think of a way to indicate elevation very well on the map.
