D&D 5E Has anyone else brought in books from older editions to 5E?

I'm currently working on a lot of the old Modules from previous editions as well as some of the Lankhmar stuff.

I'm actually finding it very easy with 5th edition to do a bit of "plug and play".

Personally, I like the old 3E deity information, especially the Domains, which can be used to add flavour to the gods and their clerics. And I'm all in for allowing clerics to have Proficiency in their deity's Favoured Weapon, assuming that it is something which gives a fun experience for the player.

And From The Ashes (along with other Greyhawk stuff) always gets dusted down for a new campaign or edition.

Thanks Ahrimon, I love that book. So much great equipment and the style it was written in is so unique for D&D I sneak it in whenever I can.

Since the playtest, I've been porting over all my 1e Grayhawk stuff. Modules, maps, and a bunch of my 1e homebrew areas as well. I never really got into the whole FR stuff, because I prefer to play loose with the published settings, as I'm always making maps and areas of my own, and those 1e modules were very easy to plug and play into any homebrew world.

I'm definitely using the source material from old editions. Looks like I'll be running my FR campaign out of Berdusk, at least for a while, so I'll be using Volo's Guide to the Sword Coast and Forgotten Realms Adventures for source material on the area (other than those, the material for the Westen Heartlands is pretty scarce).

All I have is the grey box original FR campaign setting, which is dense yet thin on info at the same time. Porting in some elements from Imagine magazine from the 80s for a city setting (Neverwinter maybe), as I know No Lore. As my players don't either, I'm hoping for a smooth flight on Seat-o-Pants Airlines.

Like Sailor Moon said, 5e lends itself easily to plug and play. After your first couple conversions, you'll be able to do it mostly on the fly if needed.

I've converted a bunch of AD&D 1e/2e stuff from Dragon Magazines on my blog.

So, I'm planning on starting a new campaign in 5E and I'm planning on bringing in Aurora's Whole Realms Catalogue from 2E FR, with some major edits to match the system change because it's just such a fun resource with great items that aren't game changers but are really fun and handy. Also bringing in Demihuman Deities to flesh out the options for the players who want racial gods. I'm also thinking about bringing in some stuff from PF and 3.5 but I'm really not sure how much I want to drag in from older/other systems as I really love 5E, I definitely don't want to change the landscape just want to bring in some flavor. Just wondering if others have/are doing this or if they are just sticking to the books and homebrewing additional equip/monsters/gods, etc?

I've used items from The Encyclopedia Magica in my Tyranny of Dragons campaign, and ran a Labyrinth Lord adventure with very little conversion.

Running a Neverwinter Campaign using the 4E Neverwinter sourcebook. Going to incorporate Madness at Gardmore Abbey and a few 4e adventures from Dungeon. Using some stuff from Night Below and Return to White Plume Mountain from 2E. From 3.0/3.5 The FRCS, Underdark, Cormyr; Tearing of the Weave.
