D&D 5E Has anyone found a FLGS in Orange County that will have the PHB early?

Sadly that is where I started. Apparently there are different levels of WPN stores and that determines when they get things?

Also near me most of the stores listed are Magic CCG only stores, the more varied stores don't seem to be aware of/care about the 5e release. Rpgs are low on the money making poll for them so it is usually magic, star wars, warhammer first and then when they do finally get around to RPGs Pathfinder seems to be king.

That's my problem also. The store nearest me, actually only a few blocks away, is listed as WPN. However, they actually go the Starter Set *later* than mine arriving from Amazon. I'm not banking on them for early PHB.

Though I *love* Aero Hobbies, don't get me wrong. They're way friendly, have great stock and are knowledgeable. I spend money in there every month even if it's just some little knick-knacky thingy.

When I lived in Los Angeles, Aero Hobbies was my favorite store. I used to do the same thing you do. Basically, all of my dice were purchased at Aero. I always had to buy SOMETHING.

I'll never forget Gary. May he Rest in Peace.

Just moved into the area (Venice) a few months back ... I've been looking for a FLGS ... I'll check it out.

I will have to call Brookhurst Hobbies as their pre-order page says nothing about release date.

Will have to do the same with Game Empire as their website isn't working well for me and the release date info is not anywhere I can see.

It is probably just a sign of where RPGs fit economically for stores now but I seem to remember it being a bigger deal with the release of previous editions and it seemed like hard info was easier to find from storea.
