People are still clutching their pearls over gambling? What decade is this?
Every decade? I may not think it's the #1 problem facing the world today, but there's a reason it's tightly regulated and has a history smothered in vice and violence.

It has nothing to do with exploiting teens. It's just branding to increase familiarity and emotional appeal. It's capitalism. No different than a Star Wars refrigerator or Beyonce branded perfume.
It's only good for storing lemonade. Now if only I could find a Beyonce fridge....
Yes. And? It's a D&D licensed slot machine on a casino floor.Konami Gaming, Inc. Secures License with Hasbro, Inc. for Dungeons & Dragons Branded Slot Machines I think this is the press release for the slot machine above. Konami was the maker of the slot machine.
For me it isn't a moral objection to gambling itself. We have a casino near where I live and occasionally I go there with my wife (I have a rule of not spending more than 50 bucks though and leaving as soon as I double my money). So I am not against people enjoying themselves responsibly or anything like that. I'm also not calling for anyone to stop doing business with WOTC or anything (this won't impact whether I buy a WOTC book or not). And I had family when I was younger who had worked at the tracks (and I know people who work at the Casino near us). But gambling as a business is pretty exploitative and has a very negative impact on lots of peoples lives. I've known people who have been 40K in debt over gambling, and they still can't seem to stop. I just don't know that I feel great about D&D being attached to thatEvery decade? https://www.cbinsights.com/company/games-globalYes. And? It's a D&D licensed slot machine on a casino floor.
Yes, and? Again, whatever point you're trying to make isn't clear. All I said was there was an older D&D slot machine on casino floors. Many in fact. That's correct. What does it have to do with what you're trying to say?https://www.cbinsights.com/company/games-global
“Games Global is a provider of iGaming content and operates within the online gaming industry.”
“Games Global primarily serves the iGaming industry with its products.”
Games Global is not a casino slot machine maker. You will not find Games Global products in a casino.
Games Global has nothing to do with Konami. Konami makes casino slot machines.
Konami licensed and made Dungeons and Dragons slot machines.
Konami has nothing to do with Games Global.
“This also isn't the first D&D slot machine, just the latest.” I read that as you saying that this new partnership was a physical casino machine like the old ones were.Yes, and? D&D slots stopped being D&D after the 2nd iteration. 3rd iteration is a video-gamey superhero slot machine with none of the gritty realism of old-school D&D slots.I think this is the third iteration of a D&D slot machine.
Don't even get me started on 5th iteration D&D slots. So much hand holding, and now they want us to see the tokens as more than just disposable currency for our enjoyment.D&D slots stopped being D&D after the 2nd iteration. 3rd iteration is a video-gamey superhero slot machine with none of the gritty realism of old-school D&D slots.
