Heart of Artifice: Part I--Engineered Enigma

"Stop that madness. Let's speak and we will take care of your wounded. That man doesn't need to die, and if we really have no way to leave that island, why not acecpting that offer, your reinforcment will be the first thing we will meet." tells Kharas as he continue to crawl away from his opponent.

"And let you create a mad device to destroy us all? I think not! We must press the advantage! All glory to the Artifex Maximus!"

*Kharas backs away and his opponent attacks him and once again fails to connect.*

(OOC: Anvuss again)

"Anvuss is NOT my creation, he is the creation of Artifex Maximus and his peer. He is not a clank but a living creature created by the greatest Sparks." replies Kharas, who immediatly see that such fanatics won't understand. Too stubborn.

*Anvuss takes out another opponent with his mighty blow, leaving only the leader and the one attacking Kharas.*

(OOC: Yikes, good rolls on those last two attacks, Patlin!)

"Curses, we need to take out the insane Rogue Spark before we fall!"

*The leader of the group retreats from Anvuss, provoking an attack that just barely misses, as he charges into place for a flanking attack that strikes true, knocking Kharas unconscious.*

"Arthur, take formation alpha."

*The other guard nods and moves slightly, his hand on his air blade.*

(OOC: Anvuss again)

Seeing the guards getting ready to charge, Anvuss takes advantage of their being no opponent next to him. He uses an infusion to repair some of the damage done to him, and warrilly drops back 20', if possible placing an obstacle or rough terrain between himself and his enemies to slow their advance and avoid a charge.

Repair Moderate Damage (2d8+3=9)

"It's out of charge range, but it's also out of melee. Attack formation delta. Curses, but it's healing itself. We need to drop it fast so we can tend to the wounded."

*Both guards drop back another 30 feet, putting a total distance of 110 feet between Anvuss and the closest opponent. As they do this, they sheathe their blades and draw two of those nonlethal electric crossbows their comrade was using.*

(OOC: Anvuss again)

Seeing the enemies backing up, preparing to engage at range, Anvuss considers his options. He moves back to the enemy he had dropped in the previous round, and hefts him up, dropping his morningstar in order to do so.

(Anvuss is now grappling the unconcious guard, creating a 50% chance that ranged attacks will strike the guard instead of the warforged. As he is helpless, I don't think a touch attack is required, and certainly not an opposed strength check.)

As he lifts the guard, does he notice any potions or other such items on his unconcious adversary?
