Heart of Artifice: Part I--Engineered Enigma

(OOC: I wouldn't count on a calm emotions--see the embedded OOC in the last long post for why (short answer--staggered people can't keep up Concentration on effects when the effect itself knocks them out ;)))

"You fanatics! You are the one who shots me first and for what, nothing! I just arrived here, I had done nothing. You are so stubborn that you don't want to listen to me. So close-minded that you think a Rogue Spark is automatically and evil dower who want the destruction of the world. Come on! Get a bit of common senses, you got us in a corner, we can't flee, let's talk and you'll take us prisonner after if you are so stubborn but at least, show a bit of justice in your action and don't act like troops of some tyran!"

(OOC: Ironically, since we are forced to follow the SRD rules for Diplomacy, it is actually physically impossible for Kharas to convince anyone of anything with Diplomacy, as the minimum action for Diplomacy is a Full-Round Action

It is still his turn, though)

*The guards simply ignore Kharas's words, intent on taking prisoners first and asking questions later, rather than possibly falling for a ploy that allows them to be defeated by an enemy that suddenly gains the upper hand.*

ooc: Well, it would have been unwise to cast it, but I wanted to cover all the bases. :)

ooc: I know we're waiting on Kharas to finalize his action, but just to clarify my action above, charge bonuses were not included. (I considered it much more likely I would be attacking an adjacent foe.)

OOC: Nope, I've just miss that... honestly, I don't knwo much more what to do. I think Kharas resting on his back is a good option for now, as he doesn't have any potion, and scrolls might not work.

(OOC: He can also back away--as long as he only withdraws for his turn, he won't take an AoO. Of course, the enemy can still attack him again, so that wouldn't make too much difference. As long as I know for sure that you aren't attempting a heal, we can continue with Kharas's assailant and then Anvuss's successful attack against his flanking foes (he can't get away to heal with a 5-foot step due to being flanked))

(OOC: It doesn't--move action only is okay)

*Kharas backs away slowly, hoping to bring his assailant away from Anvuss to buy his Warforged ally more time. Kharas's retreat throws his opponent off-balance, and the wolf-helmed guard fumbles his air blade in a spectacular failure as the shocking archer continues to bleed.*

*Anvuss takes the opening granted to badly injure one of the two opponents flanking him, and his adamantine plating turns away their coordinated strikes.*

(OOC: Back to Kharas again)
