Help with Two-Bladed Sword Fighter

I'd advise against expertise.

You'll be a better fighter by dumping INT, pumping STR and CON, and taking feats like Power Attack and Cleave (Weapon Specialization is very important to a double-weapon fighter too) than you are on feats that improve your defense.

No cleave. I've just never really liked the cleave feat for anything except characters who used big heavy weapons and would be dropping multiple enemies very quickly.

Why not expertise? Like I said, I'm sticking with the higher inteligence (unless someone gives me a really good reason not to), and I'm not too worried about my character ebing sub-optimal (though i'd like to get as much out of using a double-weapon as possible. see this thread. ). Expertise seems to reflect a higher level of skill and... well, expertise, in combat, and it allows for you to later take Improved Disarm and Improved Trip. It just seems like a much better choice to me. Though maybe I'm missing something? (keep in mind I'm allowed the Improved Expertise feat whenever I can get it... isn't it BAB 6+?)

I realize the potential for Weapon Specialization and Power Attack with a double weapon, and I'm deffinately gonna take both of these as soon as I can.

Be careful with Power Attack for TWF fighters... you'll have enough problems to hit already and you don't wanna reduce that further. Same goes for Expertise. But I agree that the possibility for going defensively is important.

Saying again: Check out the KoK PG, they have some more Power Attack chain feats. And Scholar (you said you want a knowledge fighter). This feat gives you all knowledge skills as class skills and gives a +1 bonus to three of them.

To your question: No, one feat for doubleweapons that includes TWF and Ambi is not balanced. Tried it and it was too strong due to the possibility to charge or singleattack with 1.5 times strength mod and to change between several attacks or one strong one...

And don't forget that with double weapons Impr Crit, Weapon Focus, Weapon Spec and all those other feats for one weapon only are lots cheaper since they apply to both heads.

Ok, I have a serious two-bladed weapon question...

If you attack with both heads in one round, do you get x1.5 STR on the first attack and x.5 STR on the second?

Human Fighter

Two weapon fighting
Exotic Weapon prof. two bladed sword
Weapon focus two bladed sword

1st level, 2 attacks, killing orcs like a lawn mower, next question!
