D&D 5E (2024) Here's The Covers of BOTH of November's Forgotten Realms Books

Covers of Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerun and Forgotten Realms: Adventures in Faerun.
We've known for some time that in November, WotC will be releasing not one but two Forgotten Realms books--one aimed at players, the other at Dungeon Masters. Thanks to Game Informer, we now have a look at the covers of Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerun and Forgotten Realms: Adventures in Faerun. The article showcases more art, and is well worth checking out--and for those who want more, the print magazine has a full feature previewing the books.

Oh you’re right. He’s almost imperceptible, without any of the oomph the other 3 get.

Among the villains, I see Nihiloor and Xanathar, best buddies in crime, and Acererak the lich. I’m assuming that green ghostly lady is Valindra.
Is kind of funny, but Valindra is given the same treatment on the other side, so evens out. 😄

The dwarves baking was pretty cool, actually, although the baking was just one character (everyone else is forging/blacksmithing). All the PHB species section art was basically "what this species looks like when at home."
That was your take on it. My take was that is complete lame. Grabbing a bagel while smithing is not my idea of D&D.

I don't like AI art in general. I don't like people accusing real art of being AI art. I can sort of understand the confusion, after all AI art has snuck into WotC products previously... but you're really not helping the case when you accuse any piece of art that you don't like as being AI.

It's not artists' fault that AI art has stolen and replicated their styles. When people say "oh I don't like that artists' style, it looks like AI art," you're as good as victim-blaming.
It is their fault. Not all art is great and if people don’t like AI art and you are creating art that is very similar to AI art then its definitely your problem as an artist.

You realize that AI art imitates existing artists, right? You're basically saying "the second a machine can replicate what you do, you need to reinvent yourself or leave the industry."

That is what they want. Bland, uninspiring and inoffensive in any way possible.
Who is"they" in this sentence? My issue is that people cry "AI wolf" so much at real art made my real artists just because they don't like said art, to the point that if everyone keeps confusing real art with AI, that they can start using AI and most of the people crying wolf won't be believed. In essence, muddying the water by calling all art you dislike AI makes it easier for them to slip real AI in undetected.
