I think it's not too bad. It is not pretty, but clear and functional.
It even made me want to try PF2, until I found myself on the second page with the blank space for feat lists and remembered the amount of things I have to handle in game.

Yeah... I'll stick with 5e. Thanks.

At least I can say that reading ENworld comments today at work has been work related.

It'll make a perfect case study for junior designers on how not to do things :heh:

Well, that was fun

So they changed "Race" to "Ancestry". Thats just an example of many of how Paizo is letting the reality of politics into their RPG. They don't want to offend the eternally offended by changing the terms of game mechanics in their game.

Don't do that here, please.

Call me crazy but I think I actually prefer the black and white "design atrocity" to the slimmed down retro sheet. Sure, maybe there are too many pages and the first one is probably rather too busy, but most of it is pretty clean, well delineated, and expansive; very good for quicker referencing for those lacking in system mastery.

And if you want to actually plan your character ahead it is pretty easy to lightly write down the feats you plan to take. Heck, if you have a lot of time to kill you could practically write in your whole advancement in the proper spots and then just pencil over it darker when you actually reach that level.

I understand the distaste some of you have for it, but I think we should withhold judgement until we can actually use it in play.

Now the brown colour scheme of the colour one; I would be interested to hear the justification for that.

"Withhold Judgement" on the Internet??? Heresy!

So I tried to see what it would look like if I made a comprehensive code character sheet for the boards here using the same expansive principles and it is... long, heh. Maybe not as long on the page because of sblocking but it is REAL long in Notepad.

Edit: Think I forgot the code tags to make the sections with the numbers, particularly skills and equipment, to line up nicely. This is just a rough up in any case. PbP folks, if we do much PF2 here, would probably prefer it be a bit more bare bones.
