Owyn crouches in the doorway, watching the kobolds scamper about in a panic. "I wonder what's got their knickers in such a twist..." he ponders in whispered response to Butrea's comment.

"I don't suppose you understand their forked tongue?"

TOWER

Mindra crept into the room, managing to avoid stepping on crunching glassware or knocking anything over as she went to the other door. She spotted a few things that might be useful in the room.

Mindra can spot 1d10 items of any of the following that the party can collect from the room: acid, alchemist’s fire, antitoxin, oil, potion of healing, tanglefoot bag, smokestick, sunrod.

Mindra pressed her ear to the door to listen, but could hear nothing through the thick wood. She checked the door. There was a lock, but she didn’t see any traps. The door was unlocked.

Coriana pushed the door open and peered into the dark interior. To her human eyes, the room seemed empty. She might remember from their first reconnoiter of the outside of the tower that this was about the level where a large hole had been knocked in the tower wall, but it seemed to be completely intact here.

Beside her, Mindra’s keen elven eyes picked out something on the floor in the darkness. Whatever bit of light there was seemed to reflect off of something in the floor of the room.

You can see 3 large circles inscribed in the floor with runes etched in arcanite and other reagents.

The three circles are arcane circles. One is a summoning circle for containing summoned creatures. One is a teleportation circle. The third is a spell circle, used for practicing new magic safely.

DUNGEON

Beturea shook her head. “I don’t speak their language,” she said. “It sounds a bit like Draconic, but we never traded that far east, so I didn’t need to learn it.”

The kobold standing guard paused and looked at something on the floor. The flicker of torchlight. Slowly he started to follow it toward the door.

"Shame..." Owyn said as he watched the Kobold begin to follow the reflected light of their torch. Suddenly he was rushing in, sword flashing as he hoped to silence the dragonling before it can raise the alarm.

ENTRY HALL

The kobold scrambled to ready his spear and shield as Owyn charged across the room at him. The kobold didn’t get the shield up in time, and Owyn’s longsword slashed across the kobold’s arm. The kobold hissed at Owyn and stabbed at him with the spear, though his attack was swatted away by Owyn’s sword.

On her way across the room Mindra can't help but stop and pick up valuable items that she spots along the way. Watching her it is almost like her hands have minds of there own as they flicker out to grab something and tuck it away as she walks past.

OOC: Woot! Was real worried I was going to roll a 1 there. Mindra is interested in the smoke sticks and tanglefoot bags. And the healing potions of course, maybe an antitoxin just in case? Anyone else have an item they are interested in?
