Here is a different situation:
A rogue is hiding in the shadows cast by an illusionary wall. Someone with True Seeing looks at him, what does he see?
If he sees things as the actually are, the rogue is not hiding, he can't be, there is no where to hide. There is no true shadow to hide in, just as in Hide in Plain sight does not provide any protection from True Seeing as there is nothing actually to hide in.
(There is no movement required in Hide in Plain Sight, Dimensional Lock does not stop it, so if you are standing in front of someone looking at you with the only shadow being cast is a quarter inch in diameter 10 feet away, you can still hide from them. That is how the rules are written)
