Dunno, Maldur, having the rules for creation is not too bad. Really we can arrange it as a lengthy sidebar, keeping the created ones in the shop, and having the feat, and a chart of the enhancments in a sidebar.

Sound like a plan.
Make some samples for the shop and the creation rules in a sidebar or appendix .

UnDfind, I am doing so now, writing the character up, will add a bio, and find a way to add those auction rules to the article. This thing is gonna be huge.

A Shop with many unusual items.
A new set of rules for clockwork musical items and some examples for sale
An NPC with a backstory to be used as a contact....
A story seed with a big ol' Steam/clockwork soldier up for auction, with new auction rules, who happens to dissapear...

How big is this magazine gonna be?
 

Has EK stopped in and left or has he even peaked his peepers in the joint tonight.

Any of you have ideas for an old dwarven fortress city inhabitted by a Ghost Troll who once was the King of the Trolls in my world, and his menions its one of those campaign focusing dungeons that I need small things for like unique monster encounters and the like.

I know I am going to be throwing in a few dwarven wraiths, a Dwarven defender with long life, an Elder Druid (from dragon 286) and a Mid to low level dwarven kingdom surviving in the gloom under the grip of the Wraithen Troll King.... and a dragon
 

I am feeling so so, I had a long day at work and then my friends thought it would be FUN to go bowling.....I sat felt icky and watched...

I have a date day after tomorrow (its a first date) with a girl that none of my friends seem to like, and I need to write for S&S and for ES

An ogre magi that managed to become a lich?

some kind of weird slime, that continually regenerates, and detects as undead, its the sloughed off skin of undead trolls, somehow gaining sentience, regerating even from fire, it can be destroyed by holy water though.
 

No Ek so far.

How about Dwarven stone golems, a little smarter than most as they have not some elemental spirit in them, but the willing spirits of dwarven heroes.

Aarinaias

The Aarinaias is the corrupted remnants of a Celestial (specifically, an Avoral) whose soul has been removed for some evil purpose. The soul of this creature is usually stored in some dark shrine or unholy place as tribute to a dark god.
The process whereby the soul of a Celestial is extracted leaves the body a hideous mockery of the being it once was. Skin becomes covered with oozing boils, wings begin to decay and loose their plumage, eyes cloud over the color of blood, the tongue lengthens until it can no longer be kept in the mouth and begins to drip with a pungent acid. An Aarinaias has no memory of its’ past life.

Combat

From the time of first creation onwards, an aarinaias is devoted solely to the destruction of all good. It will stalk anyone who seems likely to lead the creature to places where good souls abide, and will attack any of good alignment it comes in contact with.
The aarinaias is rarely seen, hiding in shadows and keeping to the dark places. Those few who have spotted one and survived describe the aarinaias as being shrouded in darkness, seeming to dim the light of even the brightest lanterns.

Special Abilities

Avoral-Like Vision* (Ex): An aarinaias can see detail on objects up to 10 miles away and are said to be able to discern the color of a creature’s eyes at 200 paces. This ability functions normally in low-light and functions as darkvision of the same range in complete darkness.

Fear Aura (Su): Once per day an aarinaias can create an aura of fear in a 20-foot radius. It is otherwise identical with fear as cast by an 8th-level sorcerer (save DC 17).
Immunities (Ex): An aarinaias is immune to electricity and petrification attacks.

Lay on Hands (Su): This works just like the paladin’s ability, but an Aarinaias can heal only itself, and may heal as much damage per day as its own undamaged hit point total.

Shadowy (Su): A shadowy creature’s presence seems to suck light out of an area it is in. All mundane lights within 100 feet of the aarinaias cease to give off light, though fires still burn. All magical light operates at half effective range. If a sun or moon is visible, it’s light is diminished enough to cause all characters without low-light vision to suffer a –2 penalty to all spot and search rolls. This effect ends as soon as the affected area is left.

Spell-Like Abilities: 3/day: blur (self only), command, detect magic, detect alignment, dimension door, dispel magic, gust of wind, magic circle against good (self only), magic missile, and see invisibility; 1/day: lightning bolt. These abilities are as the spells cast by an 8th-level sorcerer (save DC 13 + spell level).

Spit (Ex): The tongue of an aarinaias drips with an acidic saliva. Any exposed skin in contact with this liquid immediately takes 1d6 damage. When the Aarinaias spits, everything in a 10 ft. cone, beginning at the creature’s mouth, must make a reflex save (DC 12), or be struck by acid.

Tongues (Su): Aarinaias’ have the ability to speak with any creature that has a language, as though using a tongues spell cast by a 14th-level sorcerer. This ability is always active.

True Seeing (Su): This is identical with true seeing as cast by a 14th-level cleric, except that it has personal range and the aarinaias must concentrate for 1 full round before it takes effect. Thereafter it remains in effect as long as the aarinaias concentrates on it.

Skills
An aarinaias’s sharp eyes give it a +8 racial bonus to Spot checks.
