EK - I like, though I've got a few nitpicks if you don't mind.

Crothian - simple system, hmm... could be promising. I've got some friends I got into Buffy (it's contagious! :D) that I've tried to get to play D&D, but they've found the learning curve a little too steep for their tastes. I like the "class" types. :) The website looks interesting, too - and it sounds like the books would be useful as a fan resource even if someone didn't plan on running the game. I'm sold! :)

(By the way, is the general consensus that Buffy S4 kinda stank?)

Reading the boards and relaxing in AC. Actually got to play in a Buffy gam,e tonight, so that was really cool. But overall the gaming duldrums have set in. I'm just not inspired anymore. I think I need to go back to running what I really like, but no one wants to play that......

What's that?

I liked the 4th season. THe meta plot of the iniative and ADam wasn't the best, but season 4 has some of the strongest individual epsisodes of the show. Hush was actually nominated for an Emmy.

My fantasy world. I haven't ran in in about 3 years, but it's gone through 4 full campaigns (characters started at level one and ended in the mid 20's each time but the last campaign). I've always had the most fun running this world as I know it damn well, and it is very fleshed out. It also has so much history because of those previous 4 campaigns. Fantasy has always been my favorite genre and the one I run the best.

Of course I don't mind. It hasn't been through editing yet, so there is going to be stuff changed.
Ok, then. Here goes.
My vows to find and protect knowledge were so strong that even death could not prevent me from honouring them. It was weird, in a way. One minute I was laying in a pool of blood, the next I found myself standing up again, desiring nothing more than to retrieve the books.
I lost my suspension of disbelief at this part; not because of the idea, but because of the "it was weird, in a way" part. It really didn't mesh with the rest of the piece, and kinda threw me back into looking at it not as a story excerpt but a piece of critical writing. (I'm a writing tutor back at school, so second-nature and all that. :))

Also, right here (This angered me greatly, for although I did all he could to stop it, alas there was just too much for me to handle by myself), the word "he" seems to be used where "I" should be. I wasn't going to note grammar/spelling stuff, but that was momentarily confusing enough I did. Obviously. :) Otherwise all good!

Ok, I can give you the point on the individual episodes, but... I really missed having Xander & Willow around (which they weren't, though that was addressed at the end) and Hush was an amazing episode. I guess I'd just prefer more meta-plot than a series of episodes that didn't seem to fit with me. It probably didn't help that I don't like Riley.
