Sorry I got distracted, Sword. Yeah, that is kind of a bummer, but I agree with the plan you have now. You can get a good friend out of the deal, and never underestimate the power of being seen with a cool female. It works. =)

BTW for anyone that wants to review the first issue of Emerald Sage, it is now up in the reviews section under Horade. Most likely under Emerald Press too.

After trying over and over again, someone beat me to it? suck.

no no, I only meant that it has been approved by the powers that be and is available for people to review now. No one has reviewed it yet, you can still be first Skade. :)

Yay! Now, I have to actually write reviews of the rest of my shelf...

Of course, I probably will not be reviewing any other issues as hopefully I will be contributing to many of them. This one was unbiased, though.

Hey guys. Looking for new topics to mouth off on. Any suggestions?

How much free stuff do you give your players? I wanted them to have a base of operations, and I made it happen, giving them a serious discount on a small fortified building. Should this be done? This of course does not only apply to buildings, but equipment, NPC help, etc.

I look forward to your contributions. :)

Have to make the party fight for it a bit. I'd use that type of thing as a reward for a successful adventure. Land grants, bestow items on the party as rewards. Can lead to some great RP potential. Have the rough and tumble adventurers have to attend ceremonies held in their honor. :)

NPC help I try to limit. I want the focus to be on the party themselves. And I tend to make my npc's too good. hehe.

I'm sure that whoever's unloading the building has a reason for doing so. How is it to the small fortified building unloader's benefit to have a band of heavily armed and spelled vagabonds handy?

It doesn't have to be for future tasks they may be called on. If you're feeling generous and want them to have it for whatever reason, you can say they got the bling bling for past military service or something like that.
