Well in an Episode of Firefly; Ariel, the doctor is giving his sister a 3d Scan in the hospital. She is just sitting on a chair and above her is a holographic image of her internal organs. The doctor goes to the image and starts "touching" it to get a better look at her brain. He rotates the image and zooms. He doesn't have on any gloves or VR goggles or the like. Hope that helps or did I miss the point entirely.

No that rights, forgot about that, and you just helped me remember a scene in Escape from L.A. that they use a holo video. It had Snake standing in Air Force One.

While I don't exactly follow what you're looking for completely, has anyone seen the scene in Johnny Mnemonic where he accesses the internet thru a holographic projection?

I believe that's what you're looking for (and slightly embarassed/surprised I remember anything from that movie).

Would that be anything like the interface used by hackers in that old Tekwar TV series (or movies, or whatever they were - possibly both)?
