If that behavior is not a problem, why should jumping through some hoops to cancel your account and avoid auto-renewal be a problem? I mean, canceling auto-renewal is still a perfectly viable option. Nothing makes this impossibe or anything.Exactly what's funny or karmic about it? Signing up for a month was a perfectly viable option that was allowed under the system. People that wanted to do that weren't doing anything underhanded.
Chuck's info is correct, and disabling the auto-renew process is relatively easy, if you just follow the instructions.I had thought about subscribing for a month just to see how it was...
until I found out you had to sign up for auto-renew even if your subscription was for a single month. That ended the possibility of DDI for me.
Because it's bad customer service. If they're playing 'gotcha' with the one month subscribers that's not cool.If that behavior is not a problem, why should jumping through some hoops to cancel your account and avoid auto-renewal be a problem?

If you like 4e, you will really like DDI.
Even this 'workaround' is kind of foolish. Why should someone have to email customer service to request to be taken off of auto-renew? A simple radio button to click (or unclick) your auto-renew when you first sign up should have sufficed.
