Plane Sailing

Astral Admin - Mwahahaha!
I saw it last Saturday with my wife, and I thought it was pretty good. I don't know how well the humour will travel, but I found plenty to laugh at in the script, the concepts and those film homages that I noticed (I'm sure that there were plenty that I didn't notice).

So what do you think?

I thoroughly enjoyed it, but not quite as much as "Shaun of the Dead". I found that while it was more consistently funny, there weren't so many outrageously funny moments. Nothing to match the 'Don't Stop Me Now' scene, for example.

I'm dying to see it.

I thought Shaun of the Dead was a riot.
As a police officer, I can't wait to see how they make fun of the job. I generally like the humor found in movies and television shows from the UK. I don't always get the references specific to British culture, but I get enough of them to be entertained.
When I was in high school, my friends and I used to stay up late to watch The Young Ones on MTV. I really liked the one where Neil(the hippy) joined the police force. By the way, that is not what motivated me to become a police officer.

I thought it was absolutely fantastic and so has everyone I know who has seen it. I thought the humor travelled well, though I am sure there are tons of things in there I just don't see. The whole 'The Greater Good' mantra, the action-cop-movie meets Tea-Cozy-Murder-Mystery thing was fantastic.
