Nothing says a crippling effect has to be permanent or even long-lasting.Why not name the effect what it is?
Or at least one per turn maybe? Each attack might be too much but YMMV.Honestly, I'd just remove superiority die entirely and let the fighter have the effect (but not bonus damage) of a given manuever on each attack.
