How long after June 6?

According to Amazon my books will be delivered on 6/12. Plan to have the crew come over and make characters on 6/13 and run my first game 6/14. Been working on campaign world and adventure ideas for about 2 months now.

Also, I will have KoS earlier and maybe will run that in late May, but I'm thinking I'll probably cannibalize it for ideas instead of play it.

Probably a year or more. I'm running a 3x campaign I'm enjoying, and it would be nigh-impossible to convert it to 4e due to the use of a lot of classes/concepts from later books. 4e would need to reach an almost impossibly high standard of excellence to make me scrap my current game. About the only way it could happen is if my gaming group just falls head-over-heels in love with it and demands I do something different, or if I see a 4e supplement so mind-numbingly cool I can't ignore it.

Running, not sure. I haven't got a good story idea yet. Playing? I'm planning on visiting a local store for D&D game day the next day.

I guess I will wait about month till the books arrive. The customs around here really slow it down, because everybody buys from US thanks to the fact it is so cheap now...

I'll likely have a standing offer out with my group to run Keep on the Shadowfell as soon as it comes out. But we've got a relatively new mid-level 3.5e game in progress with one of our usual DMs, the other usual DM has some ideas for our near-epic 3.5 characters that he'd like to run with, and I've got another story arc for the short SWSE game I ran last fall to continue.

Actually, let me amend my eariler [superbrief] post.

Five out of the six people in my D&D group wants to DM Keep on the Shadowfell. I've never before seen these guys fight over who gets to run the next game.

Ever.

Well, assuming the books do arrive over here on time, we will be playing the very same evening. Real campaign won't start till the following Wednesday though.
